Another frog!! I wanted to try out making another zipper pouch frog like my last two quite a while ago. The zipper on his mouth did end up becoming quite squiggly, I think because the inner lining that I sewed in was a bit too small, so it puckered the zipper, but I still love how he turned out overall!! (^∀^)b

And because of his more crooked, toothy, crocodile-smile, I decide to name him △▽△▽ Croc ▽△▽△ He especially reminds me of a crocodile with the scaly-looking green material I used for his upper body. I also used a mottled, bark-looking fabric for his underside, it’s very soft too, he’s actually very soft all around :3

He’s quite a bit larger than both of my other zipper frogs, and is my second-largest frog that I’ve made. I’m looking forward to filling him with my collections and trinkets! <|:^D (He’s holding my pocket knife collection right now though.)

Here’s my final frog of this recent batch I’ve made. Her name is ⋆⍋*Juniper *⍋⋆ and she is the largest frog I’ve ever made!

I chose that name because of the cool-toned, bluish-green fabric I used, which I compared to some different types of green and found that it matched “juniper green” quite nicely. It’s called “juniper green” because of how juniper trees grow berries that are blue in colour, so the shade of green has some blue tones to it.

It was kinda hard to get good full pictures of her, since she’s pretty big and the lighting wasn’t the greatest today, but these are the decent ones I managed to get.

To envision her size, I’ll say that she takes up quite a bit more space than my entire lap, and when I hold her against myself, her front legs can be easily be put onto each of my shoulders, without really widening her arm postitions. Juniper is very easily huggable, and she’s a good size to put my arms around. She could even be a pretty nice pillow! ❀༄࿔ ₊*·⋆. 𐐪𐑂 ˚₊· .

Yet another frog that I finished today, I’ve just been in the mood to make these guys lately. This one’s on the smaller side, especially compaired to my last toad, Lichen.

I think I’ll call them・୨୧・Grub・୨୧・I think it’s a cute, short name that fits well. It also rhymes with my very first handmade frog’s name, Shrub.

I didn’t actually knit their body, but I used some pieces I cut out of an old sweater. It was kinda difficult to work with the materials I chose, the sweater material being stretchy and prone to unravelling on the edges, and the satiny fabric I used for the underside frayed quite a bit. Luckily though, I was able to make it work with some extra stitching and going back over things a couple times.

One of the back legs in particular did get kinda twisted as it was being sewn, though it doesn’t show too much in the photos, because I posed it in a flattened way, but you can still see the creases of it scrunching.

Other than that, I still love how Grub turned out! <3 I’ve still got one more frog idea in the making currently, but who knows how many I’ll make ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since I’ve been in a froggy and toady mood lately, I made yet another toad plush yesterday, right after finishing Wormwood, my previous little witch frog.

I've decided on the name  𐐪𐑂⍋・Lichen・⍋𐐪𐑂  because of the colour pallete and textures I used. Lichen is also much bigger than any of my other toads and frogs, taking up a most of the space on my lap when seated.

I used some old couch fabric, which I’ve used on other projects before, but this time I wanted the fabric to be the main thing used for Lichen’s body. I also used some yarn with an interesting fuzzy texture, as well as some regular yarn, to tie knots to make some warts, I think it adds to the mossy and lichen-ish look.

I also used some of my more unique buttons for Lichen’s eyes. Both buttons are the same colour black, but I thought that the mismatched shapes looked cool, and I’m glad I finally had a project to use them on (  '◡' )b ☆

Other than all of my frog and toad plushies I’ve made, here’s all of my other froggy and toady items I’ve accumulated over time:

An old lawn ornament that I gave a new paint job (he was very sun bleached), a small bejeweled frog trinket holder (they have a detatchable, magnetic upper body), a frog I made with air dry clay, a set of wooden güiros and another trinket-holder.

I made this frog out of air dry clay quite a while ago last year, and earlier this year, I finished the paint job. He’s got black pearls for eyes and quite a protruding snout, which has dubbed him the title of “Dragon Frog” from my friend and me.

One of his toes did chip off and get lost some time before I painted him, but other than that, I’m happy with the final result! ·₊˚ 𐐪𓆏𐑂 ˚₊·

Pretty much any time I get fabric, I make a new frog. I think I’ve decided on naming this guy ⚘ ☽ Dewdrop ☾ ⚘

He’s definitely not small like a drop of dew, he’s one of the bigger frogs I’ve made, but his smoother, rounded shape and green colour reminds me of a droplet of dew on a leaf or a blade of grass. I also have a soft spot for when big characters are named or nicknamed after small, cute things <3

The top fabric is from an old sweater vest type thing my sister didn’t want anymore and the lower fabric is material from an old couch. His eyes are made from two shiny shell buttons 。・:*⋆

These bone fragments are from a mole that I found dead in my backyard a while ago last year. This is all I was able to find and dig up recently, probably because it was such a small animal and I maybe left it underground too long and things got displaced or eaten away at more, I don’t really know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But I’m at least happy that I was able to find some of it.

(I also stained them with coffee, so that’s why they have that colouring.)

I’m not completely sure what each of the bones and pieces are, so if anyone has an idea of the identification of what the parts are, that would be very helpful! ʕ •ᴥ•ʔゝ☆

I’ve been thinking of names for my toads I recently made, here’s what I have in mind:

☆✤ Acorn ✤☆ would be for the first one, because he’s petite and the pattern on his underside reminds me of the bumps on an acorn cap a little bit (and his colour scheme).

❀ ꔫ Sweet Pea ꔫ ❀ would be for the larger one because I like to think of her as a big, gentle, cheery sweetie ଘ(୨୧˶ᵕᴗᵕ˶)。:°✧

I’ve made a new addition for my collection of froggies. But this time it’s a toad! I’ve tried out a bit more of a round, chubby-looking design, and sewed in some yarn knots as warts. I know the seam down the middle isn’t really centred and there are some parts that are kinda wonky, but I’m still happy with how my little toad turned out  (˶^ᴗ^˶) ❀.⋆。⚘ .⋆˙⊹。.
