I made a teeth choker!! :-) I put all of the clay teeth charms I made a while ago onto this chain I got recently.

I also got all four of my wisdom teeth out recently and I got to keep them afterwards! \ʕ^ᴥ^ʔノ I stained them with coffee and coloured them. I also included some animal teeth and claws in my collection.

Here’s the set of the bigger squirrel bones reunited with their paws and tail that I preserved a while ago. They’re from a female Eastern Grey Squirrel, which is an invasive species where I live, due to their ability to adapt to new environmnents easily. They’re also quite a bit larger in size than the native species of squirrels.

I tried out a nicer arrangement, they’re not in complete accurate order (I don’t have all of the bones either), but I tried grouping the types of bones together in a way that looked a bit more “like a body”.

This was also the first successful squirrel tail that I’ve preserved, so it makes me happy to see all of the pieces come together :)

Here’s all the bones I’ve recovered from a squirrel that died during a big summer heatwave last year. I do also have the paws and tail, which I preserved as whole pieces in borax, but they aren’t included in these photos, just the bones.

The body of the squirrel was buried, and it took me two rounds of digging it up and burying it again to get all of what I have here. I dug it up twice because only some bones were ready enough to come out the first time, while the rest still had a lot of tissue that still needed to decompose.

After digging them up and letting them sit in water for a while to make sure all the tissue was eaten away at, I washed them with soap and water, then gave them a soak in hydrogen peroxide.

Once all the cleaning was done, I gave them the same stain treatment that I give all my bones. I stained them with some hot water and instant coffee, because I like the “aged” look it it gives them.

Some bones are broken and I’m sure I didn’t get all of them in the end, but I’m still very happy with what I was able to find! <|:^)

Some bones I found recently in my yard. The first one is a squirrel jaw with three teeth that came out. I’m pretty sure it’s from the body of a squirrel that I buried this past summer. It must’ve come loose form an animal digging it up or came to the surface of the dirt with all the wet weather we’ve been having lately.

I’ve been informed in the replies of this post that the the second one is an opossum jaw piece! I’ve never really seen any opossums around where I live, so I at first guessed it was maybe a raccoon jaw, since I’ve seen plenty of those around here. But I can see now from looking at pictures, especially specifically looking at and compairing the teeth, that an opossum makes much more sense.
