World Ballet Day! ... and some news!
So, as we all know, World Ballet Day is coming up (OCTOBER 4th!)! Many leading companies will be livestreaming classes and rehearsals all day. I am happy to announce that Polish National Ballet will also be livestreaming this time, as well as updating through instagram!! The company’s instagram (@operanarodowa) will be taken over the next few days by company dancer Aneta Wira (@simpledancerslife) who is also the owner of the blog Simple.Dancer’s life. She will be taking pictures and video around the workplace as we prepare for multiple shows! x I’m told the livestream will be on the Theatre’s facebook or along with the Royal Ballet’s stream . So stay tuned and get ready!! ... also! i am happy to announce that i will have my premiere next weekend (OCT. 8) of Pas D’Action in La Bayadere (one of 4 tall girls, who dance during and before the pas de deux of Solor and Gamzatti)! I’ll ask some friends to help, and will be snapchatting and taking photos all this week and next as we prepare for our 6 show run! I’m dancing almost everything else as well, but even though i’m literally dying of tiredness I’ll still do my best to get as much footage as i can! (snapchat/instagram: remylpg) as well as preparing for bayadere, i’ve also been asked to perform in the new opera Goplana (which premieres OCTOBER 21). A darker, haunting performance, I will be playing the role of the lead lady’s dead sister, whom she murdered and who is coming back as a ghost. The opera will be livestreamed online, so I’ll be sure to include a link as soon as there is one :) The choreography is by a colleague and friend, Bartosz Zysk, and it will be stunning!
