Still not quite happy with her look, but at this point imma just roll with it.
I don’t think I will ever capture Arya in the way I see her in my mind.
Like I have a good discription of her but when I try to draw it out it’s just... not her.
Idk how to discribe it. Or it could be that I love the characters so much that I don’t think I could ever do them justice on paper.
Like the AMOUNT of inheritance series sketches I have is unreal, and I’m dissatisfied with all of them. 😤

Holy crap I finished my line art. I’m so proud.
So in anticipation of the short book being released in “The Inheritance Series” end of December, I wanted to draw my favorite Elf queen being badass.
Arya was always such an interesting character and ID BE DAMNED IF SHE AND ERAGON ARENT END GAME.

I apologize for using that turn of phrase I couldn't remember the guy's name. So I used his affiliation. I understand how that could be inflammatory. It wasn't my intention to be political but rather to illustrate that to an outsider ( to the issue and series) it seems fairly straightforward. I above removed the offending addition from my blog.

You should def read the books tho! They are really really good at throwing in proper representations, and have more POC than most fantasy books.
Arya is a hard person to categorize, because while CP discribes Nasuada wonderfully as a POC, he paints Arya very poorly. Which sucks. He seems to focus More on her physical?? Beauty than her race type, I think???
Always discribing how beautiful she is with her “raven locks” and “thick hair”. (I think he has an obsession with her hair, honestly). Because he always discribes her hair... every. Time. But never her actually representation. And when he does, it’s very ambiguous. 🤷♀️
Okay. I have been re-reading The Inheritance Cycle and I’m on the part where Eragon and Arya are sitting in his tent and drinking. And then all shit breaks lose and Nasuada is taken and blah blah. I have a canon that eventually, Eragon and Arya will be reunited and will get drunk together. However, they will station all the extra guards and riders everywhere to ensure that no one gets kidnapped or interrupt their drinking and dancing.
TBH, I really just want both to relax and just hang out without having to worry about anything. Is that too much to ask in the next book??
