when right after the dress bridge she sings “say my name and everything just stops” and then it....it literally stops oh my god that pause makes me so weak cause i have such appreciation for things that are so simple yet so effective like throughout delicate she literally sings....delicately like it’s so, so simple but conveys everything she wants it to and it makes so much sense; in both of those moments there are so many emotions being conveyed not only by what she’s saying but by what she’s doing with her voice and how she manipulates the track and where she decides to breathe or pause. there are very, very few artists who have the mind to notice those things and incorporate them into their work and i’m so proud that taylor is one of them holy crap
