35. Krile Mayer Baldesion, FFV

What's not to like about Krile?  She's sweet, cute, and cheerful... She's friends with the moogles, friends with a dragon, and seems to be able to talk to chocobos, which is very sweet, not to mention useful.  I love people who are friends with animals besides humans.  Non-human animals are so great, so the fact that Krile befriends them makes me like her a lot.

What else about Krile makes her special... Well, of course she's very brave.  She's only fourteen years old and yet she goes on this grand quest to save the world.  She could have easily lost her life on this quest, but she risked it anyway, because she wanted to do what she felt was important.   I also seem to remember her saving us over and over again. (Us being Faris, Reina/Lenna, Bartz, and Galuf, before Krile actually joined the party.)

I also really love her white mage outfit.  You'll notice it's on the above collage twice at the bottom...  Look at those moogle ears!

How do you pronounce her name though?  Is it a short "i" or long "i?"  The "e" at the end makes me feel like it should be a long "i," but that certainly sounds strange.  I just pronounce it like "Krill."
