I finally finished Final Fantasy VI tonight. (and then I made this collage out of screenshots of the FMV that plays at the end.) They did an excellent job reminding me all about how I murdered Shadow. "Look! Here's everyone escaping. Where's Shadow though? Not here, I guess..."
Anyway, I enjoyed the game over all. If you have't played it, I recommend you do so. I also recommend you wait for Shadow when you're fleeing the floating continent so you don't have to deal with the same guilt I have.
Look up "Final Fantasy Anthology" on whatever site you use to buy used games if you've got a playstation or playstation 2. It's FFV and FFVI, which are both great. Or I hear you can buy them on playstation network for PS3. Do it, do it, DO IT!! Older Final Fantasy games are so fun... The graphics may not be great, but they always have a certain humor about them that the later games drifted away from. You'll also finally understand references other later FF games made to the older ones if you play the older ones... DO IT!!

41. Locke Cole, FFVI
I don't really know that much about Locke yet. I started playing Final Fantasy VI and didn't really get that far into it before I got distracted. But from what I do know about him, I can assume that he's a pretty cool guy.
From what I've seen, Locke seems like a nice young man. He's friendly to those he meets and goes out of his way to help people even though he doesn't necessarily have to do so.
And of course I like him because he's a thief! Thieves are one of the greatest things about the Final Fantasy series. Playing a Final Fantasy game without a thief in my party would just make me feel like I'm missing something... (I'm aware that there are Final Fantasy games without thieves... and while I still like these games, I do feel sad that I can't steal stuff...) I also appreciate that Locke refers to himself as a "treasure hunter." I take this to mean he's okay with the concept of being a thief; he just doesn't want everyone else to disapprove of him. I can understand that. Sometimes stealing is alright, but I might not admit to that in front of certain people who might negatively judge me for feeling that way...
So Locke seems pretty cool so far. One of these days I'm going to pick Final Fantasy VI back up and play it some more.
