Happy 20th birthday, House M.D.
Headcanon: House is a bisexual/gay submissive masochist as well as Wilson's bitch with House also a gimp- a sexual fetishist who loves not only being dominated but also wearing leather and rubber body suits with masks, zips and chains while Wilson is a bisexual/gay dominant sadist.
Oh, good. A new kink: a much older, married man on a motorcycle.
Just what my mental health needed.
Yes, House is American.
But Hugh Laurie who plays him is actually English.
Thinking about Ringmaster House.
What does he represent?
Is he a manifestation of Cuddy's fears?
That he's not innocent?
(Anyone able to answer that question?)
In public, House likes to pretend he's a strong, independent man who's in control.
In private, he's a Submissive, a Bottom who loves being told what to do by Wilson, his Dom, Top and Master.
The "Get Happy" musical number from the House MD Season 7 episode, "Bombshells" was completely unexpected.
I never thought I'd see Hugh Laurie singing while in the outfit of a ringmaster and even wearing eyeliner.
But we got it.
HL looks so gorgeous in that scene.
I love how it begins so innocent but gradually becomes much more darker, HL showing us Ringmaster House is not who he appears to be.
Recently discovered the Butch/Femme concept.
I think House and Wilson apply, House the Femme and Wilson the Butch.
Wish they'd consider implementing a new option on a03, one where if you put in a title for your fic that matches one you've posted for another different fic, it says "Please change the title" or something to that effect.
My headcanon is that any threesome House and Wilson are in, it's House who's the Bottom, Submissive and Wilson is the Dom, Top.
Hugh Laurie's American accent in House MD and Veep is great but there's something incredibly soothing about listening to his real voice, his English accent.
(Yes, in real life, HL is English).
The reason his voice is so unusually deep- I think it's due to the fact that he began smoking when he was a child.
From his wikipedia page:
"I was, in truth, a horrible child. Not much given to things of a 'bookey' nature, I spent a large part of my youth smoking Number Six and cheating in French vocabulary tests."
I've seen HL hold cigars in "House MD" and "The Night Manager" while also smoking them during some scenes in the two shows.
Happy Halloween from mother house babes
Ringmaster House during the "Get Happy" song from the House MD Season 7 episode, "Bombshells".
(This is one of my favorite House MD moments. Plus, Hugh Laurie in that outfit and wearing eyeliner- he's very beautiful there).
House is and will always be Wilson's bitch.
Robert Sean Leonard is 6'0 while Hugh Laurie is 6′ 2½.
Prince Ludwig the Indestructible in the Blackadder II series finale episode, "Chains".
(This is the second and final recurring role HL did. I'm also convinced this is his first ever villainous role).
Even though House MD is the show that introduced Hugh Laurie to the world, for me, his appearances in Blackadder are what propelled him to success in the UK and Europe.
Simon Partridge in the Blackadder II episode, "Beer".
(To the House MD fans, yes, that's a young Hugh Laurie making his debut in Blackadder).
