so i went to wizardworld philly
which is basically a knockoff comiccon but i went because a) they were having a captain america panel and b) i wanted to buy some jessica jones art
important moments from the panel, which featured chris evans, sebastian stan, and anthony mackie:
- the panel host brought up how bucky was just chilling in bucharest, buying plums, and seb was like “yeah and i never got to eat them!” at which point the host revealed a bag of plums which seb proceeded to eat throughout the panel
- mackie then started throwing plums into the audience while yelling “i’m the marvel oprah! you get a plum! you get a plum! that dude can’t catch!”
- mackie also imprinted on a baby in one of the front rows and every once in a while would yell “lift that baby up!” and the mom would thrust the baby up into the light and everyone would cheer
- an attendee with a service dog asked them about their pets and chris evans described his rescue dog dodger as “the best dog in the world” and “literally a cupcake”
- an attendee asked sebastian what bucky did for money in bucharest. seb was completely at a loss and mackie started singing “private dancer”
- mackie implied that chris did a shitty job driving the VW bug and chris got INCENSED, like “that is OUTRAGEOUS, i drove that car PHENOMENALLY, it was like a TONKA TOY, seb, back me up, man” and mackie accused him of nearly driving into a garage wall
- an attendee asked what their characters would get as tattoos and where. chris said cap would get peggy’s face on his chest so he could make her smile with his pecks. seb said bucky would get “hello, my name is bucky” tattooed on his hand. mackie said falcon would get muhammad ali.
- an attendee asked what their dream role would be and chris, after some teasing from mackie that he’d be prince eric in a little mermaid remake, said he’d love to be in a remake of west side story
- right at the beginning the host was talking about how bucky and steve have traded off protecting each other and at one point was like “ok, but cap really loves bucky,” at which point the crowd cheered and chris said to seb “so, bucky, should we just get outta here?” and seb was like “i need a drink of water.”
many more fun things that i cannot think of off the top of my head! but it was delightful and i would do that again any time. ALSO yes: i got some great jessica jones art.
