That moment when Tom Hiddleston photobombs the Doctor Strange cast.
This photo right here just made my weekend!
Um Guillermo? I don’t think that’s going to happen ... lets be honest.
Damn them cheekbones!!!😩🙌🏽🙌🏽😍 #TomHiddleston #CrimsonPeak #SDCC
Hiddles in the house!
And we have Hiddleston, y’all!
Highlights, as per the same disclaimers as the last two (still adding to this, just posting now to get the Hannibal news out):
- 10 am Once Upon a Time is up in Ballroom 20 - it just says ‘join the cast’ doesn’t say specifics but Once has been pretty good in the past about bringing a solid panel so expect a big number of them
- 10:30 Hall H is ‘A sneak peek at a few upcoming releases from Warner Bros.’. No details at this time. Anyone got some guesses?
- 11 am in Ballroom 20 is TV Guide’s Fan Favs panel, this year including Ming-Na Wen, Maisie Williams, Norman Reedus, and others. Highlight is my bias :)
- 11 also brings the news of Childhood’s End, a Arthur C Clarke novel that’s apparently becoming a Syfy miniseries. Interesting.
- 11:15 has Blindspot Pilot Screening and Q&A, which I must admit the promos of this have kinda intrigued me, though how much that is because I have mad love for Jaimie Alexander I cannot say.
- 12:15 Hall H - Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. heee. wait wait wait Matt Smith AND Natalie Dormer are at this hold up now ... or are they in the 2nd movie? Ok. No I think I got this wow this is a badly written description. So Matt Smith is in both movies, I think, and Natalie Dormer is in Patient Zero which is also being featured here, they will both be at SDCC. Ok. Clear as mud.
- Panel from Image Comics at 1 pm including Mark Bernadin, Ed Brisson, Kelly Sue Deconnick, Sina Grace, Brandon Montclare.
- 1:30 Hall H - The Hateful Eight, Quentin Tarantino and ‘cast Q&A’, no specifities of which cast at this point
- 2:00 pm Babble on with the cast of Babylon 5 sorry you have to do with my squeal here because Sheridan, Ivanova, Delenn, Londo, Lennier, Garibaldi, Vir, Lyta and Bryon ALL on one panel hello reminiscing.
- 2:30 Hall H is Legendary Pictures, primary mentions of Warcraft, Crimson Peak (note: it says ‘talent from’ so Hiddleston lovers that might be a sign you should be watching!), and ‘surprises’ from Great Wall, Krampus and More
- Grimm has Ballroom 20 at 3, bringing a big chunk of the cast
- Barrowman has his own panel at 3, and if there’s anything you need to know about Barrowman panels, is that they are always have entertaining pictures. Often slightly risque pictures. See: Barrowman.
- Muppet Show Panel! at 3! It’s the muppets, of course they get a mention.
- Lumberjanes Panel at 3:30! Cause Lumberjanes means awesome.
- Entertainment Weekly has a Women Who Kick Ass panel at 3:45 in Hall H. No Ming-Na which is totally a failing but I guess they had her last year, but seriously all the panels with her and Hayley Atwell who is confirmed and Gal Gadot and Kathy Bates and Gwendoline Christie,
- Outlander has ballroom 20 at 4,Claire and Jamie along with the author are there. Also I totally typed that as highlander first.
- 4:45 in Hall H is Dark Horse: An Afternoon with Joss Whedon. Which is really an hour with Joss Whedon cause there’s something else in the hall right after.
- HANNIBAL. woooooo. 5 pm baby, Ballroom 20. Bryan Fuller, Martha De Laurentiis and Hugh Dancy are confirmed. There is a link to this one because I care. Greatly. #SaveHannibal
- Person of Interest hsa a special Q&A at 5:15. It says ‘series stars’, no specific info on who
- 5:45 in Hall H with 20th Century Fox with absolutely no details. Again, place your bets
- 6:45 there’s a panel about Horror Films, with Elijah Wood there promoting his new production (I know a few Elijah fans who I needed to flag this for)
- Thrilling Adventure Hour at 8 pm! I’ll take things I would so much want to see for 1000 Alex.
Any guesses for the WB presentation movies to be featured or 20th Century Fox movies to be featured, please share :)
Crimson Peak Official Trailer now out!

According to “Joss Whedon: The Biography,” in stores August 1, Hiddleston, who plays antihero Loki in the film, wrote Whedon a heartfelt email after reading Whedon’s draft for the first time.
We’ve published Hiddleston’s letter in full along with Whedon’s response with permission from Chicago Review Press below.
Joss,
I am so excited I can hardly speak.
The first time I read it I grabbed at it like Charlie Bucket snatching for a golden ticket somewhere behind the chocolate in the wrapper of a Wonka Bar. I didn’t know where to start. Like a classic actor I jumped in looking for LOKI on every page, jumping back and forth, reading words in no particular order, utterances imprinting themselves like flash-cuts of newspaper headlines in my mind: “real menace”; “field of obeisance”; “discontented, nothing is enough”; “his smile is nothing but a glimpse of his skull“; “Puny god” …
… Thank you for writing me my Hans Gruber. But a Hans Gruber with super-magic powers. As played by James Mason … It’s high operatic villainy alongside detached throwaway tongue-in-cheek; plus the “real menace” and his closely guarded suitcase of pain. It’s grand and epic and majestic and poetic and lyrical and wicked and rich and badass and might possibly be the most gloriously fun part I’ve ever stared down the barrel of playing. It is just so juicy.
I love how throughout you continue to put Loki on some kind of pedestal of regal magnificence and then consistently tear him down. He gets battered, punched, blasted, side-swiped, roared at, sent tumbling on his back, and every time he gets back up smiling, wickedly, never for a second losing his eloquence, style, wit, self-aggrandisement or grandeur, and you never send him up or deny him his real intelligence…. That he loves to make an entrance; that he has a taste for the grand gesture, the big speech, the spectacle. I might be biased, but I do feel as though you have written me the coolest part.
… But really I’m just sending you a transatlantic shout-out and fist-bump, things that traditionally British actors probably don’t do. It’s epic.
Whedon wrote back with a simplistic response:
Tom, this is one of those emails you keep forever. Thanks so much. It’s more articulate (and possibly longer) than the script. I couldn’t be more pleased at your reaction, but I’ll also tell you I’m still working on it … Thank you again. I’m so glad you’re pleased. Absurd fun to ensue.
Best, (including uncharacteristic fist bump), joss.
You had us at fist bumps.
VIDEO OF LOKI OPENING WOOT
It was a year ago that this happened, and there was much screaming on our parts as we got wind of it, and started searching for anything we could find and post.
I wonder what will happen this year?
