After the huge success of last year’s Marvel cosplay photo event, our own resident cosplay expert, Judy Stephens, attended Katsucon this past weekend for a 10th Anniversary  Marvel Comics Civil War Themed Event! The photo shoot gathered over 50 cosplayers and costumers in a wide-range of Marvel characters, including Captain America, Ultron, Spider-Gwen and more.

Hey all, I’ll be at the Katsucon Artist Alley this weekend with prints and books! Stop by and say hi!! 

This past weekend in Washington D.C., our own Judy Stephens attended Katsucon to cover all things Marvel Cosplay and Costuming. We had a large Marvel gathering on Saturday with over 200 costumes including sub-groups of Agent Carter, Avengers, Cinematic, Cosmic, X-Men, Spider-Verse, Thor, and Young Avengers. Thanks to everyone who came out in costume, took photos and helped organize the masses!

Here are my first two shots from Katsucon2015 of my New Thor cosplay by Dave Yang. 

I really am happy that he stopped me and took my picture, and he is such a nice guy, I hope he has more, so I can buy them and love them forever. It’s strangely narcissistic, right? But I don’t look at these pictures and see me, I look at these and see Thor, and that means a lot to me.  

The cosplay was made 100% by me. Helmet, armor, and Mjolnir are worbla, cape is wool, belt, hammer handle, and skirt are leather.

Marvel.com’s own Judy Stephens will be heading to Katsucon in Washington D.C. next weekend, February 13-15, to cover all the amazing Marvel Cosplay and Costuming!

We’re excited to be working with Katsucon to have a Special Marvel Group Photoshoot* on Saturday at 2pm at convention center in the Maryland Level Hallway next to Maryland Ballroom 1-6!
