So I was talking to some friends about this, but I noticed... Xemnas inverts a symbol of goodwill through his weapons.
See, an open hand is generally used to convey help, aid, or solidarity, right? Like, if you offer someone your hand, it’s to help them up, to offer assistance in a task, etc. Shaking hands is a social greeting, it can be used to seal a deal, clasped hands can represent an oath or fealty-- hands are pretty important to us humans!
But Xemnas’ ethereal blades come from his palms- the center of his hands. His threat- his ability to cause pain and inflict violence comes from the same place that’s associated with help.
It’s not an essay or anything, just. Given Xemnas’ M.O., how he exploits the Nobody’s sense of shared identity, how we saw him rule the org through threats and social manipulation, how he talks so softly and quasi-benevolently, while being.. Yknow, Like That.. Idk! I just think it’s a neat observation.

His current activity? Being dragged around by his two Auri frenemies minions er... teammates..? Axel and Saix, intermittently cursing them and trying to keep them alive.

I had some post KH3 Xemnas-y thoughts. Like how heartbreaking it would be if he returned to Terra’s heart the same way Namine and Roxas returned to Kairi and Sora’s. And if he recognized someone who could have fit that suit of armor-- the one that felt like it belonged to an old friend? ..Yeah man. Yeah...,
