I made a terrible mistake of focusing on ONLY Adam and giving him fun shapes that I now have been drawing every night this week so far as a cool down.
I can not deny my love for narcissistic characters. Or a big guy.

The biggest comforts have been mashed together for the silly trend🫶
I lub you Jack Skellington from 1993 stop-motion animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas and I LOVE you Reaver from 2008 game instalment Fable II of the Fable franchise.
I referenced the classic sculpture of the two, but of course, drew them with the designs I have for them in my story :}
I believe @/annoyed-galaxy wanted to see the progress of this Reaver animatic (not tagging because I don't want to pester), so I'll keep everyone updated each time I make decent progress!
I'm still just in the planning stage of everything
I'm posting the full pages from the last post, even though a lot of it is dumb doodling. The focus is the thumbnails, which will be changed and redone because I've thought of different visuals:
My plan, but no schedule for it yet:
Slight messing around with style and what refs to use:
Additional planning for what to include:
I've had to put a slight pause on this as I realised I could ask Dene how he may have imagined the summoning of the Shadow Court to look like, so I'm waiting for his answer. Otherwise, I'll make stuff up. After that, we ride on.
Been a while. I've just been busy with life, uni, and, more importantly, myself.
Anyway, Reaver based on something Stephen Fry said as a guest on The Kumars At Number 42.
Apparently I never shared this drawing here?? Which is weird since I loved it- This was from June last year.

The Reaver Team Spirit Award is such a good cutscene, but I may be entirely biased. Anyway, wanted to push myself to do some kind of rendering again to step outside of my toony art, so voila!
Been playing Alice: Madness Returns again and remembered I made these! (back in September 2021)
Kynseed has fully released on Steam today! So, as celebration I drew a quick Mr. Fairweather for the occasion.
If you don't know, the most simple way I can describe the game is if Fable and Stardew Valley had a child.
Quite literally because it is made by some veteran Fable devs!
A warm-up for drawing today, so sorry it looks awkward/lazy.
It's been so long since I've drawn my Sparrow fr I feel like I need to reintroduce them at some point.
Trying to figure out how to draw Reaver for storyboards/animatics!
I've said this before, but I've been planning to take Reaver's last diary entry and to at least make an animatic out of it. I've got it all very roughly drawn out, but I don't want to draw him with my cartoon design for him because I feel it can take away from the weight of what's happening.
SO! I've drawn him a bunch of times, his facial structure was my biggest concern on it though you can see my short spurts of thought on the page.
If you have any thoughts on this before I get closer to getting my head down working, I'd love to hear :}
Also just showing a glimpse at the EXTREMELY rough storyboard planning.
The square root of evil
The only character that will make me even a little experimental with art✋
My instantaneous reaction to this line of Reaver's💜
I like to especially talk loudly to myself when alone, other times it's just a whisper, but I've been opting to play Fable 2 when the house is empty so I have moments like this. Though... I don't have recordings of my voice you'd just to have to use your imagination.
This is an excuse to share Reaver moments because I am not letting anyone live without having experienced this man. I will draw him 'til the day my hands start to decay and turn to dust.
The obsession stands strong, I still have several other prompts from my playthrough to draw. Slowly I will try be more patient enough to draw backgrounds.
This was a silly doodle I did to send to Mike McCarthy now that I know he was responsible for Fable 3 Reaver, his 'big fur collar and outrageous top hat' (his words)
I'll be honest... I actually don't hate how this looks even though I really tried to exaggerate his hat and coat
After 6-7 months I replicate that one art piece of Reaver by Mike McCarthy and it's miles better than my first take.
The original (from Mike McCarthy) and my first take from 6-7 months ago:
I'm doing this so I can understand how to draw Reaver beyond my usual toony style. It's a fun challenge to myself, my next goal is to draw his full body, which will most likely require me to copy again but after that I intend to branch off from copying and drawing him on my own.
These are purely studies and I take no credit for the original official concept art pieces.
EDIT: Decided to include a lil speedypainty of it because why not💃
(spoilers: he's very bisexual)
Audio from It's A Sin said by the man himself: Stephen Fry
'Usually, Reaver took an inordinate amount of pride in his appearance. Everything he wore was the cutting edge of fashion, and she had never seen either a wrinkle or a stain marring his clothing. Now, he had circles under his eyes, and his cravat was askew. His boots, too, were spattered with mud. And it was this change in appearance more than anything the letter had said that alarmed her.'
Yes, this is a section of Fable: Edge of the World, because I can't keep away from Reaver no matter how much I need to do work.
I'll be honest, I haven't actually read the book and only skipped to read all sections of Reaver. That's all I'm really there for, and I'm glad because everytime I hear, see or read this man and his actions or words I feel myself exploding and foaming at the mouth. He's so perfect. So scrunkly. So scrummy.
I will ALWAYS remind you that I am clinging to this man harder than I'd ever cling to any other character in existence.
