Imagine your OTP on Valentine's Day:

What is their ideal date?
Is one of them more romantic than the other?
Do they prefer to go out or stay in?
Small kisses on hands, cheeks, lips.
Half-lidded eyes, soft smiles.
Kind, considerate words.
One of them surprising the other with a romantic candlelit dinner or maybe a picnic.
Chocolates and flower petals.

Feel free to comment and add to the list. Please tag me if you write any of these prompts, I would love to read them!

For as long as you could remember, you had had dreams about one individual in particular. You had never met them in real life, only in your dreams, but they were magnificent. Kind and yet infinitely powerful, you knew them intimately, as they did you. Except one day the dreams stopped coming.

It had been years since you had met the kind stranger in your dreams, and you had almost stopped thinking about them. Your daily life was simple, but you enjoyed it.

Until one day, you found yourself in a bit of trouble. It was every person's nightmare: a gruesome kidnapping. But even after you had been bound and beaten, you still recognized the sound of your kind stranger's voice. It echoed out of the darkness, striking fear in the hearts of your kidnappers.

"How dare you hurt them?" Your kind stranger's voice boomed.

The kidnappers cowered before the form of your stranger.

"You will all pay."

Imagine your otp kissing at midnight on New Year's.

Bonus: They drunkenly make out.

Bonus bonus: The next morning, they're not sure if them making out with the other actually happened because they were so drunk. But they're too nervous to bring it up with the other, so they just keep quiet about it.

After the fall of Earth, humanity turned to the stars. Their ships were built to last, but even the most powerful machinery can grow old. Travelling for hundreds of years without finding a suitable planet, their time has nearly run out.

So the first planet they find that is even remotely suitable, they land on. Unfortunately, it's already inhabited by sentient lifeforms. And they won't give up their planet without a fight.

"Do we have to go?" A whined, wrapping their arms around B's arm. "I'd much rather stay home. Where its safe. And warm."

B stopped on the sidewalk, turning to A and explaining patiently, "A, we are already halfway there. And we got dressed in our costumes."

"I know, but C will probably be there," A muttered, not meeting B's eyes.

B's grip on A tightened slightly, their eyes narrowing. "Yes. And if they try to come anywhere near us, I'll pulverize them. But you said yesterday that you weren't going to let them get under your skin anymore. Also, there will be a bunch of other people there. We may not even see them."

A just let their gaze fall to the ground.

B sighed, pulling A into their arms, "Do you want to skip the party? We can go home and watch scary movies and order a pizza if you prefer."

A nodded slowly, pouting.

"I'll let you pick the movie," B offered.

A seemed to brighten at that, allowing B to lead them back home.

The hospital room is cold and sterile, exactly as you expected it to be. You shiver, pulling your jacket closer around your body and curling up in the chair next to the hospital bed.

You'd cried so much over the last several months, but X just wasn't getting better.

"Please don't leave me," you begged in a whisper for the millionth time.

You wiped another tear away, closing your eyes and imagining the good times, before X got sick.

The doctors said it wouldn't be long now.

"I'll do anything for you to live," you murmur. "Just please, don't go."

Person A: *eating cereal* What if we're all low-level psychics and that's why we get deja vu?

Person B: Are you high right now? This early in the morning?

A: *puts down their spoon* No. Just contemplating the meaning of life.

Hero was less than happy when they found out Villain's secret identity.

They hadn't intended to find out. They hadn't exactly been looking for them other than the usual amount. But to tell the truth, they wished they didn't know.

Because now they had to arrest their best friend.

How V could possibly have been their best friend all along still astounded H. Their best friend was a kind, vibrant individual who had been through a rough patch lately. But now that H knew, the pieces were finally beginning to fall into place.

H wished they didn't suddenly understand why V had acted the way they had. Because now H had no idea what to do. Could H really arrest V, when all they'd done was try to protect their only living family?

"What have you gotten yourself into this time?" X sighed, crossing to you.

"Oh good, you got my message," you grinned. "Mind helping me out of these cuffs?"

X began to work on the cuffs, their lockpick making quick work of them. They fell off your wrists, finally setting you free.

"Thank you, darling," you grin.

X rolled their eyes, "What trouble are you going to drag me into today?"

"The usual kind. Ready?"

"Well come on, then," X pretended to be put out, although you could see the echoes of excitement in their gaze. "Let's get this over with."

As the ruler of a small country, there are many problems you have to solve throughout your day. Trade agreements, border disputes, even the outcries of the people invade your thoughts and nearly every waking moment. Even so, your beloved country was flourishing under your leadership, and the people love you.

That is, until the sickness came.

The country's finest doctors had been working on a cure as fast as they could. You were doing everything just to keep it together, but your people were dying off in droves, the streets littered with bodies.

You had almost given up hope when you heard about a powerful magician who had been able to cure themself and several others of the plague. You went to find them, desperate for a way to save your people.

When you begged them to save your country, they agreed... But for a price.

"My firstborn?" You asked, surprised.

They nodded seriously. They almost didn't look human, with beautiful features and a slender, perfect body.

"Okay," you agreed. "But please, save my people."

They agreed and the deal was sealed with blood. The magician smiled, their face somewhat triumphant. It was a short ceremony, the words of power spoken in a thundrous voice. There was wind and lightning and a blast of energy spread out from their body, the epicenter of the spell. When the magician was finished, their body slumped from exhaustion, their glowing eyes fading.

"That's it?" You asked, startled by the simplicity of it.

They nodded, "Yes. But this isn't over until I have the child."

"Ah, okay. When do we start?"

They stared blankly at you, blinking slowly. "Start...?"

You grinned, "We are going to have a child?"

They stared at you, mouth dropping open and cheeks turning beet red.

"Oh."

You never believed in soulmates, so the idea of going out to look for yours was ridiculous. Instead, you continued to hole up in your house as you always had, preferring the quiet company of your dog and a good book rather than the noisy outside world. You only ventured out when necessary, to go to the grocery or take your dog out. You were even able to work from home.

But one day, while you are walking your dog, you find a stray. It's a big thing, a black great dane mixed with something else, and looks terribly lost. He's dirty and hungry, so you take him home.

His collar only has a phone number, no name. You feed the dog and try to call the number. It rings for a moment before a man picks it up.

"Hello?" The person sounds confused.

"Hello," you introduce yourself. "I found your dog."

"My dog? How did you get this number?"

You frown, "Um, it was on his collar?"

"Yes, right. His collar," they sigh. "Alright, I'll come pick him up."

Before you can tell the person where to meet you, they hang up. There is a knock at the door.

"Please don't go," X sobs, clutching at Y's clothing in one last desperate attempt to keep them there.

"I have to," Y whispers. They kneel next to X, cupping X's face with a gentle hand. "I'm sorry, but you'll die if I don't."

"Please," X begged. They blinked the tears out of their eyes, still holding onto Y.

Y gets up, carefully removing X's hand from their clothes. "I'm sorry."

You started to squirm as soon as X spotted you. They strode right toward you, their face a mask of calm despite their ever-churning emotions.

"Hey, X," you tried weakly.

X tilted up your chin with a finger, their ethereal gaze expressionless as they examined the cut below your eye. You can hear your heart thundering in your chest as X wiped away a drop of blood, staring at it for just a moment with that same cold expression before their eyes snapped to you.

"It's not that bad," you tell them, trying to avoid their gaze. "It will heal quickly."

X's voice sent chills down your spine, their barely-contained anger reverberating through your being, "Who did this to you?"
