I know this is stupid and personal and whatever but like….

One of the most consistent readers of my Arcane fic who commented on everything joined the server and asked for a RP partner and so I volunteered as tribute and we were having such a blast RPing together. I hadn’t heard from her in a few days but figured she was busy so I shot her a message on discord and found I was blocked.

She had left the server and deleted her ao3 account. No warning. I have no idea what I did. Nice thing to wake up to on a Saturday morning and it hits a particular rejection trauma spot for me so I’m sitting here crying my eyes out despite being allergic to my own stupid tears, texting someone so I don’t lose my sobriety because I’m almost at 30 days clean and I don’t want to lose that but fuck it hurts.

What did I do???

So maybe this is just the true crime and history nerd in me talking while I’m half delirious from migraine but Jinxtor being outlaws in Zaun give me major Bonnie & Clyde vibes. Not just the deep, obsessive love and attraction part, or the doing crimes (at least on Jinx’s part) bit, but when you consider that originally both Bonnie and Clyde were from the slums of Houston, that Clyde had become embittered by some of his experiences in life and sought revenge, and by the end of their lives, Bonnie had been significantly disabled in an accident that affected the use of her legs, so Clyde often had to care for her.

Idk just got me thinking as an attempt to distract myself from my awfulness and this is what happens when you get a BA in History and end up going into a field where you don’t use your degree at all lmao

So I’m watching the 2nd season of Bridgerton again (the first time was a binge watch of feral screeching) and because my brain is my brain and immediately upon watching it I was like, “Jinxtor regency romance AU byyyyye”

But like, imagine Jinx being courted by Viktor??? The repressed horniness??? Jinx having a poro instead of like, a dog?? The complete chaos of it all because Jinx is always chaotic?

I’m gonna keep spitballing ideas onto this post as they come to me as a distraction from my surgery anxiety and because I didn’t read a bunch of Regency romance novels to procrastinate writing my undergrad thesis for no reason

Okay but like, imagine Jinx as kind of an outcast debutante being presented by her single father (Silco) who wants to give his adopted daughter everything good in the world he never had, including material possessions and making sure she’s taken care of as his body is breaking down and he doesn’t want Jinx to be alone in the world. So he wants Jinx to find a match and Jinx is like “bet” lmao

And then there’s Viktor. Academic, scientist, assistant to the distinguished Lord Heimerdinger who is very much not looking for any sort of entanglement whatsoever.

That is, until he meets Jinx. High society shenanigans and fluff ensue

Also if anyone has watched the second season of Bridgerton, that fucking scene where Benedict takes all of Colin’s edibles and mixes them into his tea and goes to a family dinner tripping absolute balls?

Yeah, that scene except Jayce is the one high off his ass and Viktor has to deal with this dumb motherfucker thinking “I don’t get paid enough for this”

Also, Viktor gifts Jinx the poro I’ve decided this it’s canon now

I was sitting here trying to figure out the relationship with Silco and Jinx and Vi and I think Silco is definitely one of those wealthy men who never married, and Jinx a foundling after a traumatic separation between her and Vi.

And Jinx….finds herself thrust into a high society world she doesn’t fully belong to, similar to how Viktor is as an assistant to Heimerdinger. Choosing between the security her father wants for her vs the love match that her relationship with Viktor is becoming…

Mmm yes I can taste the fluff-angst-romance potential from here.

Sevika is Lady Danbury I will take no criticism here the wine aunt vibe is unmatched

(Keep in mind I’ve had an awful POTS day today so my brain is very ✨floaty✨ from the pre-syncope episodes but idk I think I’m onto something with this one
