The award-winning Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow team reunites for a new miniseries about the daughter of a deceased pulp fiction writer who finds out her father’s creations live in the woods outside his house. Tom King, Bilquis Evely, Matheus Lopes and Clayton Cowles present a story King describes as “Wuthering Heights meets Conan.”
The winners will be announced in October.
Last week UK-based Tripwire Magazine presented their annual Tripwire Awards in 19 comics categories during a ceremony at London’s Cartoon Museum.
DC’s Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow did very well in several categories, including best new series, best collection and a best artist award for Bilquis Evely. Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’ Destroy All Monsters took home the award for best graphic novel. You can check out all the winners on the Tripwire website.
