Out this week: Detective Comics #1068 (DC, $4.99):

This sounds like one of those unique instances you can only get away with in comics as Ram V, Rafael Albuquerque and Ivan Reis tell a story about Two-Face that is “split in half artistically” to portray “the struggles Harvey Dent goes through trying to stay alive with the help of his more evil side… Genius writer Ram V not only devised each page of this story to be a dark reflection of the page facing it, but also of itself from front to back!”

Tom King and Greg Smallwood’s stylish Black Label miniseries The Human Target is taking a break until September, but don’t worry — DC will help fill the gap this August with Tales of The Human Target.

The one-shot will feature several stories, all written by King and drawn by Mikel Janín, Rafael Albuquerque, Kevin Maguire and Smallwood. They’ll show what happened before Christopher Chance was poisoned, as detailed in the miniseries.

Tales of the Human Target arrives in stores this week.

Ram V and artist Rafael Albuquerque’s “Gotham Nocturne” story arc kicks off this week in Detective Comics #1062:

Ram talked about how Gotham lends itself to creating a gothic-themed story, how this arc will provide more depth and context to the Arkham family and its ties to the city, and his reaction to the special audio message/sound effect that fans and readers can hear when they see the ad for “Gotham Nocturne” hitting books on sale next week. Detective Comics #1062 arrives in comic book stores and participating digital platforms on July 26.
