as we all know, gaza is very low on resources - though the doctor has prescribed his father pain medication following this procedure, even one pill costs $300, and they haven't been able to afford a single one. his father has been in an immense amount of pain, and he badly needs the money

while yahya's father has finally managed to get his painkiller, unfortunately his family is still struggling with day to day costs, as groceries in gaza have only gotten even more expensive.
as mentioned, even one apple costs $10, and one avocado costs $75. due to the increased blockages, the famine has become even worse, and food is even moreso a struggle to acquire.
his father is still ill. though they were able to remove a tumour that seemed malignant, he is still recovering from the surgery and in poorly health, so food is even more necessary for him so that he will heal well

My name is Aya, and I’m reaching out from Gaza. I am addressing you after a complete year of a devastating war that left disastrous impacts on our lives. I led a good life along with my family that was once happy, but things took an ugly turn since war eruption. Despite difficulties, we managed to cope somehow. Yet, it has been a complete year of fear, anxiety and lack of certainty, and this isn't ending anytime soon. For this reason, we have decided to evacuate Gaza and start over in a new place. I love my hometown. I certainly do, but the survival of my family is at stake! I am appealing to you to help me save my family by raising the necessary funds to safely evacuate Gaza. You are kindly invited to read my story as I try to explain in simple words unexplainable feelings of misery, desperation and bitterness.
Sweet home, no more
At first, we were forced to leave the comfort of our house in order to seek refuge in a safer place. Well, it turned out that there's no thing such as a safe place in Gaza and, sadly, our sweet home was damaged. To a small family, like us, home means everything. It means safety, comfort and love, but no more!

A complete turnaround
Before war, we enjoyed a comfortable life. Our house was fully equipped with the latest gadgets. Everything we needed was just a click away. Yet, we have gone through a complete turnaround. Since the beginning of the war a year ago, we had no power supply, no water, and no cooking gas! We are literary a century back in time. We use wood for cooking and heating, stand in lines for water supply and manually move water from very far places.
Aya
It's me. I loved cooking, graphic design and reading. Yet, all of this sounds now like a distant memory. The war has effectively killed my passions, as all I am thinking about in the meantime is the safety and survival of my family. I worked as a content creator, studied to be a professional graphic designer and had big dreams, but sadly they are all gone!
Dad
My father, Ayman, worked as a respected computer engineer at a big tech company. He loved his work, but sadly, he doesn't work anymore as the company stopped operating in Gaza. My father suffers from high blood pressure, and I am seriously worried about his safety and health, considering the shortage in medications and healthcare services in the war-torn Gaza. My father is also occupied by our safety and survival which increases his illness. Being responsible for a family of five members isn't a small feet in normal conditions, not to mention in wartime.
Mom
My mom, Eman, is my sweetheart. Despite the challenges, she took care of us every single day for over a year of displacement. Regardless of the challenges, she kept on supporting us without complaining. However, I am increasingly worried that she might collapse under this unbearable pressure.
Granny
My 85-year old granny is the most vulnerable person in our family. she is chronically sick, and the lack of medications and healthcare only makes her condition even worse! My granny, who barely walks, is displaced over and over again and is forced to move dozens of kilometers every time we get displaced.
Ahmad
My brother, Ahmad, worked at a big tech company and was preparing to get married. He had a promising future and a great career ahead, but all of his dreams have vanished in the dust of war. He lost his job. I am really worried about his safety as he is growingly depressant!
The line between safety and peril
To safely evacuate Gaza, we need to travel through Rafah border crossing, which increasingly represents the line between safety and peril. However, we are asked to pay a huge sum (7,000 USD per person) which we cannot afford, as the war has drained our savings. That's why I decided to turn to you for help. Please, save our lives. Nader is 17 years old and his family is in Gaza facing dire circumstances. Food is scarce, prices are high, and there are shortages in water. They, like countless others suffering during this war, have already had to relocate many times, and their home is destroyed. They do not have enough money to safely relocate right now, or a stable source of income, as places of work have been destroyed.
Nader had just lost their uncle to the vile Israeli occupiers, and they're desperately asking for donations. Any amount of money can help Nader and his family escape this destruction.

marah @freepaleatine95 is a young woman in gaza and she and her family need our help. marah was studying computer science before the occupation destroyed her dreams, and now she is displaced in a flimsy shelter with her family, where they struggle to provide themselves with even basic necessities.
i humbly ask you to consider donating to marah and her family so that they may be able to procure food, water, medicine and better shelter for themselves as winter approaches. these funds are being used not only for marah's immediate family including her parents, who both have diabetes and need medical attention that is not available in gaza, but also for marah's married sisters' families, which include young children.

Recently had to talk to someone who had perfection paralysis (or, in the words of Adam Savage, hamstrung by possibilities).
I've been doing artistic work for myself and others for nearly two decades now so here's my advice.
It'll never be perfect. And even if it *is*, you will come to nitpick and dislike things about it in time. You have to learn to sit with that discomfort, know that everything is flawed, and that artistic growth is an infinite path. So do the thing.
If it works out that’s fantastic and if it doesn’t it was still a learning experience and nothing is eternally damaging so long as you have the ability to breathe and change course when need be and you shouldn’t compare yourself to anyone else because we are all on entirely different timelines and rejection is redirection and if something doesn’t work out something better can always supplant it and life is too short not to surround it w people who truly love you and you can always find your people no matter what stage of life you’re in and there are too many people in this world for you to settle and nothing that happened in your life is pointless bc it shaped you into exactly who you are today and you can break the cycle whenever you choose to and it’s fine and it’ll work out and you’ll be alright and I love you
Okay but every time you deal with something hard on your own, even though you feel that initial pull of sadness that you can’t go to someone who used to be a source of comfort for you to share the burden, you are actually building internal strength and fortitude. So consider THAT this morning
