It's Under/Source's 7th Anniversary today!!

So I'm finally uploading this animated trailer I made for the comic for a thing some months back that I never actually posted myself-

Animation is done by me (with some coloring help from friendos~) and the music was made by friendo Jaden/Cloudy~

I'm still proud of what I made for the anniversary last year, so for those who haven't seen it yet I hope you enjoy it!~ I hope to improve my animation skills one day X'D

PLUS! Here's some Behind The Scenes Fun Facts from Chapter 6!~

Behind the Scenes: Chapter 6 - Distortion!

  • This chapter was constantly under major rewriting for the longest time, I just could not figure out what I wanted to write for it. Everything just seemed so awkward and forced all the time, fortunately I eventually managed a decent rewrite!
  • The intro section of this chapter was a last minute decision, I felt it helped drive home the idea that something wasn't right.
  • The entire chapter somehow managed to more-or-less take place in one room
  • Necros never attacks CP directly, save for one moment of frantic, blind desperation. He goes out of his way to strictly use his attacks defensively or use defensive abilities, this is because Necros doesn't believe in physical punishment towards friends or family, for any reason
  • The cacophony of Reality Spheres surrounding Necros were all based on the various Maecros GheyUs I made, I thought it would be fun to subtly nod to their existence within the story~
  • The orange sphere Necros clung onto so desperately was the first instance (and longest instance) where Min existed amongst the various Reality Spheres
  • CP's current arms are technically fully functioning prosthetics created by his Copy ability, he lost his original arms in the fall when he first arrived. Because of this, they are the only part of him that can actually touch other beings without causing a painful shock, though he has very little feeling with them.
  • Fun fact, the Copy Fi, or CopFi as I call them, basically mimics and learns from Kah's actions, along with and coding CP may have given it

Got some special character arrivals for Day 7!~

First up we have this handsome man, Avenir Sylfaen! Necros’ father! (The chat may or may not have erupted at learning that this means Necros has a last name, something no one ever thought to ask over the past five years skjdgLHSKDGJ- XD)

Avi (as his wife calls him) comes from a long line of weaponsmiths, dealing primarily with magic weaponry, and is a rather skilled smith himself!

(He is also where Necros got his incredible denseness-)

More from Day 6, but a little different this time! A handful of various journal entries from Gaster’s journal depicting a few events covering Chara’s arrival, to her death, to one of Gaster’s final entries before the CORE accident.

Last but not least for Day 5′s wild ride is “Gaster”! Or what’s left of him-

I know I’ve posted him ages ago but now it’s more “official” XD

After an critical meltdown resulting in a devastating explosion in the CORE, Gaster was rendered...this. A relatively mindless lone “amalgamate”/entity that isn’t particularly capable or reacting to his surroundings unless startled.

Day 4 of the Anniversary Event was also super fun!~ This time we had Undyne show up!

She primarily works as the head of the guard in charge of a place called, “The Source Well”, often referred to as simply “The Well”, and (reluctantly?) has a side job working as a model for Meta! The only reason she accepted is so she could see her fiancé Alphys more often. :>

The pale markings and webbing glow in the dark! And both they and the lights at the ends of her antennae glow brighter when she’s embarrassed!

Another character reveal  from Day 3! Double trouble this week!~

U/S Mettaton, but he prefers to be called Meta. He’s the Creative Director of his own clothing label, MetaS, the leading label of the underground territories. He can change the color of the lighter parts of himself and his clothing at will, so he’s ready to mix-n-match all times of the day! These sections include: his hair, eyes, hair tie, the inner lining of his coat as well as it’s two outer strips, the soles and insides of his shoes, and the beads on each tail of his scarf.

He can also control the tails of his scarf with magic like hands to grab and manipulate objects.

Day 1 of the Anniversary Event went quite well!~

The Event dives into the original world of Necros, CP and the Hacker, meaning everyone along for the ride will get to see and explore various locations, as well as meet various characters along the way!

After the chat had finally stopped chanting for CP in a swimsuit we got to meet one of the Under/Source home world residents, Grillby!~ And then half the chat PROMPTLY began simping! 

In seconds flat he has earned reactions such as: OH NO HE’S HOT PIBKZ. PINK. GRILLBY- PRETTY H O T  B o i and Strawberry Grillby!

Under/Source’s 5th Anniversary is upon us in a little under a week, on November 12th! 🎉

Those of you who may remember, about a year ago I mentioned possibly hosting a special event on my Discord for it involving most of the cast of characters and heavily centered around worldbuilding. Well that’s what’s happening dsgjhSLDGKH-

I will be hosting a special event on the Official U/S Discord that will include a live story with character interactions, activities, a couple mini events, and commission discount prizes!

If you’re interested in me probably nervously fumbling my way through this then by all means come on in!~
