I think I just inadvertently stepped into a Benedict Cumberbatch versus Eddie Redmayne rumble. Oops. To be perfectly clear, I thought they both gave very strong performances in their respective films. I thought the award would come down to either one. And it did. In my mind, the fact that Eddie won doesn't take away from Ben's performance at all. That's my personal opinion.

Ultimately, I think it may boil down to a three man race in the next batch of award shows. Eddie Redmayne , Benedict Cumberbatch, and Michael Keaton. All three gave incredible performances. It's a tough competitive category this year.  

The Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama category was tough this year. Many strong performances. I had a feeling it would boil down to Benedict and Eddie. I would be happy if either one, and Eddie did, so no outrage from me. 

Happy for Eddie Redmayne. His transformation as Stephen Hawking was incredible.
