I CAN’T WITH THIS SCENE! Because why would Harald bring up the topic of Leif’s sister, Freydis, knowing damn well that Leif knows that he is sleeping with her! It’s as if Harald wanted to poke the wolf, get a reaction from him and it seems the response he got further intrigued the Prince. Because after their first interaction he orders his guard to keep tabs on the Greenlander. He wants to know where he goes, what he does, every single detail. He does all of this for one man...why?

Well, my theory has always been that this scene as nothing to do with Freydis and everything to do with Leif. Harald asks that he wants to learn more about Freydis when in actual fact he wants to learn more about Leif, the mysterious Greenlander who disarmed four Vikings without breaking a single sweat. He wants to know more about the silent and reserved warrior, who has an abyss of darkness that lies underneath his skin. Perhaps he could use him for his own personal gain or perhaps their newfound will grow into something more...
