Editor’s Note: Man the struggles of this manip was hard but I’m glad because I’m very pleased with the overall outcome 😭 (Gotta be my own hype woman sometimes 😎) I just noticed I made a grammar mistake with the 5th panel I apologize. Synopsis:

Auradon has transformed into a city full of technology and promise of a happy future. However, the government rules the city by oppression, they believe that everyone should be ‘the best version of themselves’ and any form of evil is a disease that should be cured by any means necessary. How will the VKs adapt under these new circumstances

Editor’s Note: Sometime simplicity is the best option. First I want to say I went through some ups and downs with this piece. When I removed the background from the original sea three photo I accidentally deleted the file. Now, it takes ages to remove a background from one person, but from three people (in the same shot!), it’s hard work!. So I was really pissed! But I decided to start again and he we are. Tbh I prefer this one over the VKs poster I made before. This one shows that they live in the shadows but in the darkness they are a ray of light. Hope. If you’ve read their in depth profiles you’ll understand what I mean.

Editor’s Note: This took across two day to complete, I had many trail and errors, which I will post down below. I hope I didn’t go too overboard with it, I think I put across the concept pretty well, it was hard but I like a challenge!. Up next my beloved Sea Three. Synopsis:

Auradon has transformed into a city full of technology and promise of a happy future. However, the government rules the city by oppression, they believe that everyone should be ‘the best version of themselves’ and any form of evil is a disease that should be cured by any means necessary. How will the VKs adapt under these new circumstances

Jay is Carlos’s associate (the person Carlos’s clients go through to arrange business) and a talented thief. Mainly known by his code name: ‘Shadow’ he helps Carlos steal various items or track down people for their clients.

Jay hates the way people from the Isle are treated like a disease as if they were born evil, when in fact it was the place where they grew up that had an influence on their morals. He has a strong hatred for the government and at times when he’s feeling up to it he would steal important items from government officials just to get back at them (Carlos keeps advising him not to do so or else they could track the items back to them).

At times when he walks through the city on the way to the underground hideout, where him and Carlos live, he often sees small protest gatherings. They protest about a world where there are no leaders and how they should be free to do whatever they please. This influenced Jay’s personality dramatically, he would steal whatever he felt like without thinking about the consequences and he began having a darker view of the world. This drew him to a organization that actually planned to get rid of the government and leadership roles... permanently.

Character Concept:

Jay isn’t the same person we know and love from the Descendants series. The oppressive world that he lives in as influenced his personality and appearance majorly. He is still as rebellious as before but he has found himself a purpose that he is very serious about committing too. I wanted to show this in this character design by making his colour scheme a lot darker and showing a drastic change in his appearance.

Jay hates the new hairstyle trend that he keeps seeing throughout the city. He believes that it draws too much attention to oneself and if you were trying to escape from someone they could easily spot you (Also, it reminds him of Evie since she’s the one who created the trend). However, Carlos pleaded with him to dye his hair with him, so he decided to dye a strand of hair neon red.

Editor’s Note: I have finally completed with the main characters for this Cyberpunk inspired AU! 👏😭🙏 So now I can start showing small scenes, interactions and bit more of the world in which they live in. I will introduce other characters further on. Thank you for being patient 💕

Synopsis:

Auradon has transformed into a city full of technology and promise of a happy future. However, the government rules the city by oppression, they believe that everyone should be ‘the best version of themselves’ and any form of evil is a disease that should be cured by any means necessary. How will the VKs adapt under these new circumstances

Evie is a popular fashion designer in the city of Auradon. She is a trend setter and has her own clothing line (which she models herself). Evie started the neon dipped dyed hair style and you will often see others wearing the same style throughout the city. Evie loves her job very much, she always loved to design clothes ever since she was young. But doing it for clients who appreciate her effort and talent makes it even more worth while.

Out of all the other VKs, Evie was seen by the government as a person who redeemed herself by not falling into her mother’s (The Evil Queen) footsteps. Especially, since she didn’t do any malicious during her past time in Auradon.

Evie is constantly used for propaganda and a symbol of hope to encourage others to see that redemption (being cured) will lead to prosperity. However, even though this is good for the government, Evie hates being used like a pawn. Due to this the people who used to live on the Isle, criminals, evildoers, (even the VKs) see her as a sellout.

Character Concept

Evie’s design had to be very flamboyant and elegant, especially, since she is a fashion designer. She had to look the part. I had various variations of colour schemes such as different shades of blue. However, I decided to stick to her original colour scheme because it make her hair, eyes and make up stand out (Thank you to my Instagram followers who helped me decide).

Evie as two purple strands in her hair, this is to remind her of Mal, for they have become very distance from each other. Estranged.

Evie lives a luxurious life, unlike the other VKs, so I wanted to show her surrounded by a lavish apartment.

Auradon 2028 AU

Synopsis:

Auradon has transformed into a city full of technology and promise of a happy future. However, the government rules the city by oppression, they believe that everyone should be ‘the best version of themselves’ and any form of evil is a disease that should be cured by any means necessary. How will the VKs adapt under these new circumstances

Uma, Harry and Gil are some of the few people that have been sent to a ‘medical center’ to be ‘cured’ of their immoral ways. They were tortured, drugged and starved (A method the government believed would force the person into submission) . Escaping was all they had on their mind, though the thought of it seemed far out of their reach.

Luckily, one night there were less guards on patrol (well that’s what they thought) and Harry, Gil and Uma decided to take there chances. Along with a few other prisoners, they fought with all the strength they could muster. They reached the entrance and got into the boats (these were meant for the soldiers so they can travel to and from Auradon). However, Gil decided to stay behind to fight off the soldiers, to help buy them some time. Gil got his left arm severed by a soldiers’ swords during the assault but he still managed to escape. Rowing with one arm but in physical pain, he was able to catch up with the others.

Uma now leads a rebel group whose motivate is to overthrow the government and free others who are in imprisonment.

Character Concept:

When they escaped from the medical center, which is built on the Isle of The Lost (The Isle is not what is was before, the government has rebuilt it into a medical facility for those that are infected), They arrived on the boarders of Auradon, Uma quickly wanted to tend to Gil’s injury, he now has a bionic arm has a replacement.

If you notice they all have a similar tattoo, it is suppose to represent how far they’ve come. (I’m going to design my own, this is just a template for now)

Lastly, I wanted to add rusty browns to their colour scheme to represent the underground/slums which is where they reside. The neon colour hair is a trend that consists in this universe.

Editors Note: This was very fun for me but it was also very hard because I didn’t want to just do anything. I wanted to represent each character. Hopefully, I’ve done that :D

Mal Auradon 2028 Edit

How will the VKs adapt under these new circumstances

Mal is a Bounty Hunter that is owned by the government. Her job is to track down people who are ‘infected’ (criminals, evildoers and anyone who does anything that is deemed immoral). She doesn’t really want to be in this position but she doesn’t have a choice due to certain choices that she made in the past.

Character Concept

Mal as a cybernetic eye and visor which helps enhance her search. She also has a bar code on her neck with ‘Auardon’ written underneath, to remind her that she will always be their property.

I wanted to keep with Mal’s original colour scheme but added a neon elements to her character design to make it more futuristic. Also, this is not her Hunter outfit, this is more of a casual wear for her.

Editor Note: Those of you that have seen my previous edits, know I’m more of a Sea Three fanatic 😂 So it felt fresh editing someone else. Also, Dove is so photogenic like omg 😍 This AU is really dark though, right? 😭
