This was Angela's episode. She deserved this episode. And she killed it. 100% emotionally devastating, and so much of that was because the emotional investment Angela gave this episode.
I know a lot of people don't like bottle episodes because they miss the whole team, and I know a lot of people don't like that Athena's a cop.
But Angela Bassett is an incredible asset to this show. It is her show. And she doesn't get to shine nearly enough in it, to be honest. So I, for one, am glad they told this story.

When you upset you didn't see any Buck and Eddie interactions but you don't mind because this episode was hella packed of suspense! Danger! Romance! Did you see how cute Chim and Maddie were! 😭 And when they rescued the little boys from that horrible man! That boy was so brave for taking the responsibility into his own hands! So proud of him! And damn Athena's relationship with her mother was just intense! Well done to Bobby for backing her up! ❤️ And when they saved that shark and put it back into the ocean! My freaking heartstrings! 😭 😭 BUT THAT ENDING THO! LIKE CHIM AND MADDIE! ARE YOU OK! PLEASE TELL ME THEY OK! 😭
