hi there! i am curious on your thoughts/analysis/reasons for shipping sakura and aoi together? i seen your edits (which are great! especially the last two ones, it would’ve fooled me that it’s real if i didn’t read the manga) and had been wondering on how this ship works. hope this isn’t an insensitive ask!
ITS NOT INSENSITIVE AT ALL DONT WORRY i'm so grateful for this ask actually you're giving me an excuse to ramble
my reasons for shipping sakuaoi started off as me being a little silly on the internet in 2020.. at first it was because i thought they were both pretty but now it's like a loooot more detailed
sakura knows a lot about rumor spreading, and aoi knows a lot about rumors. aoi is actually the one who spreads her rumors, so i feel like they've had to interacted at least once! they both know a lot about gossip and i feel like their dynamic would be really interesting.. talking badly/honestly about other people because they feel comfortable enough with each other. i mean, it's someone who fakes everything about their life and someone who's brutally honest
i feel like sakura could help aoi open up about what she truly thinks since she's always lying about how she feels. sakura would be able to see right through her persona and just straight up tell her she doesn't have to be so fake around her. while sakura seems a little more dull emotion wise, with time aoi can tell when she's happy and all and it's usually just around her that she smiles [ghost hotel sakura smiling when aoi's in her room with flowers.. .. .. Melts]
sakura doesn't really smile but around aoi, she will! aoi doesn't usually give genuine smiles, but around sakura, she will! basically . they are in love tbh
also i have an au with princess aoi and her personal knight sakura and i've just been obsessed with them ever since ...
PLUS. aoi brings sakura flowers from the school garden and they have tea in the broadcasting room together while gossiping and occasionally giving each other loving glances

in simpler words, the au is about hanako being.. an idol, basically. his rivals are teru and akane [who are separate idols at the time], and he’s friends with aoi and sakura [who are idols together]
eventually, he has to join a competition where he competes against other idols- he does fine on his own at first, but then it gets a lot more difficult because he has to go against duos.
he asks yashiro to be an idol with him [his best friend who he likes] and yashiro’s like “errm errr err u wanna be.. an idol w me....” and then she realizes its just to compete and she’s kinda sad but she agrees
they win the competition, the final round being against teru + akane [they were a duo by then] and end up together WOOHOO [while akane ends up with a broken arm]
we don’t have much so far! it’s still a work in progress
