I can finally post this now that it’s been gifted! I made this for @commanderjim for his birthday. Such itty bitty fiddly 1.5” squares of tissue paper. It really fought being assembled into a plant but I am SO happy with how it turned out. It was a very fun present to give. 😊
All the patterns I used were traditional, from guides found online.
I got ink pads and a bunch of other printmaking materials for Christmas and I’ve been having fun!! These are the first 6 mini prints I’ve made, along with a closeup of the 3 I did today and some of my setup. I think I’m starting to get the hang of which colors to use, and am now experimenting a bit with blending. This will be very important for the next carving I plan to make.
Today I went to a printmaking workshop taught by @ginkgozee (on Instagram, she makes really cool prints)! I remember enjoying doing a linocut project during a high school art class years and years ago, so I was really excited to learn about this workshop. It was super fun! I might just need to get some new toys to play with at home…
