also I love that Grover gets separated from the kids and immediately starts playing mind games with a god. he's like finally I don't have to be a good role model for a second. let's talk brutality.

HOW?
you can’t seriously exclusively play minecraft?
i can and i do
I work as a programmer for $35 an hour.
They once forgot to pay me for 8 extra hours that they needed me to work on Thanksgiving weekend. They simply needed me to be present for 8 hours in order to quickly fix any problems that happened during their busiest weekend, and no such problems ended up happening.
When they saw the mistake and paid me for it, the gross pay for that day was $420 (base of $35 x 8 hours x 1.5 for overtime).
The first thing I noticed was how that compared to what I got paid at my warehouse job before I became a programmer. When I started the job at the warehouse, I got paid $10 an hour. For a full time week, I got paid $400.
I got paid more for that one day of doing practically nothing as a programmer than I did busting my ass at the warehouse for a whole week.
So enough about this "I work harder than them so I deserve more pay" bullshit. You're all the working class. In our fucked up system, hard work does not equal more pay. If you want more pay, you need to fight back against the rich assholes who profit off your labor and pay you jack shit, not fight with other people who are underpaid about who deserves to be more underpaid.
alastor was gone 7 years. charlie hasn’t heard back from her mom in 7 years… husk says that alastor is “on a leash” too. maybe he’s on lilith’s
i don’t think alastor is only helping charlie and the hotel for laughs. he’s doing it because he’s under contract with charlie’s mom
and i think him trying to be like a father to her is probably part of it
IS THIS MAN OKAY??
A pretty much self indulgent Husk Overlord AU where he gambled against Val, Husk wins and in exchange, he keeps his casino and Angel's contract is transferred to Husk ;) Oh yeah and they get RINGS!!!
I had a powerful urge come upon me and I was helpless against it.
The article is aiding and abetting the genocide of Palestinians. It is as bad as you think.
They even use this fucking graph to illustrate the drop since November 10th while deliberately ommitting that the drop in death reporting since November was the fucking bombing of the Gaza Health Ministry. There are entire days in this report where we literally know the names and dates of deaths of the martyrs. We literally know Ghazzans who died on January 1st because we saw it happen and it was reported by the people on the ground, and it is excluded from this graph. Because the Gaza Health Ministry was unable to report on that day. The article also ends on the note that the genocide isn't hard enough on us, 'according to Israelis', without critiquing that genocidal belief at all.
New York Times is aiding and abetting genocide. What a sick sick sick society.
Here is a masterlist of every single genocidal statement made by the State of Israel, all appropriately quoted and sourced.
These statements cannot be retracted.
Quote from the Israeli State Minister of Agriculture and Development.
And yet, Zionists will tell you that “This is not a genocide, Hamas are using Palestinians as human shields!”
I was at a Palestinian solidarity gig last night & the one Palestinian artist who was going to perform had COVID so the organisers asked around to see if there were any Palestinians who'd like to say a few words instead.
A local guy who was born & raised in Gaza offered to speak. He started with "I'm an engineer. i'm not a poet or a politician. I don't... do public speaking… I had no idea what to say when I came up here. So i'm just going to tell you about the street I grew up on."
And then he did! He went down the street building by building. He told us about the ice cream shop on the corner, the grocery shop, the charity that supports people with intellectual disabilities. He told us about the people who he knew growing up, the families who still live in the different houses. He told us about the university buildings and about his friends who quit being accountants to start a band together. All on that street.
All of which is gone now, by the way. Bombed to dust.
has this one been done yet

It is so scary that it was confirmed that the truce between Hamas and Israel would not start before Friday, and then Israel arrested the director of al-Shifa, ordered the immediate evacuation of the Indonesian hospital, and there have been major deadly attacks on Northern and Central Gaza. It is clear death toll will surpass 15,000 before the temporary pause ever begins.
in library. talkin about thanksgiving. librarian is asking the kids what they eat, trying to lead them towards thanksgiving food & its like pulling teeth. asking what they pour on mashed potatoes. one kid says Rocks. librarian is like “im thinking of something that starts with GR and its brown” and another kid raises her hand & im like ok this girls on top of everything shes got this. & she goes “gorilla sauce”
why is the best DID representation in media always accidental. the moment they try to do it on purpose its just the evil alter trope again but the moment theyre not trying its like wow. how did you manage to get that accurate accidentally?
this is actually true for a lot of neurodivergencies, schizophrenia, autism, adhd, ocd, bpd, npd, i could go on. but like. its a theme.
Writers are actually often good at noticing Ways People Are and writing that, and actors are actually often good at noticing Ways People Are and then portraying that. And some of the people they notice are going to be ND, and when they're like, hmmn, I'm going to draw in These Traits that I've perceived in some people, (possibly but not limited to Their Selfs,) then you get really decent accuracy. But as soon as they're drawing from Their Research On A Condition (or worse) Their Glaring Lack Of Research On A Condition, then you get
…that sentence was meant to conclude but maybe I’ll let it speak for itself.
