Nobody else can tell you what's the right choice, because it doesn't exist. There is no right and wrong, there is only what's right for you, and you are the only judge for that. Stop giving your power away by seeking validation, empowerment and reassurance from others. It will always be an unstable foundation, built upon and depending on the non-stop external "support" from others. The strongest character is built on a foundation of self-validation, self-reassurance - in short, when you know your own strengths, weaknesses, desires, goals, your own shadows and highlights, and you know them well - then you already know your place in the world, and you're no longer subject to every external influence.
