Idk how it is in other places but in America the professions of nurse and teacher are publicly valorized in such a way that it's just straight-up impossible to hold a discussion about systemic issues in healthcare and education without it being silenced by ten thousand condescending voices reminding you that people in those professions work very hard, as though that were ever a point of dispute, over and over again until the discussion stops

The Ophelia dress, loving named after my great great Grandmother

it only took me two months to get some photos. It was so windy out because it's about to rain so I did my best.

I end up not wearing the hat because of the wind but I just felt like a tignon was a better fit. I am also happy I went on and finished knitting the mitts because they work so well. I love a pair of mitts. I ended up making a make shift fichu from some stash chiffon but I think I'll make it an actually fichu because my boobs just won't behave in anything 18th century.

This is another dress that just feels right like home. Im so happy with it. I love wearing it.

the only solution to the so called "male loneliness epidemic" is to start connecting with women and fighting alongside them for an end to the patriarchy, sorry i don't make the rules! if you want to feel less isolated start seeing women as people! you gotta!

people on tumblr trying to explain "neurotypical behavior" is so funny to me because like...you're wrong

#originals#just wild generalizations like: they hate asking questions and they never have hobbies are interests#it does kind of piss me off because i have acted in ways that people describe as “neurotypical”#ie getting upset about something said in good faith because i misinterpreted it#and it's because i have anxiety from being raised by parents with poor communication and emotional regulation skills#and on top of that was lightly bullied in school for a while#so i can be paranoid and sensitive and hypervigilant and always on the lookout for secret commands and hidden insults#i'm working on it but yeah#it's not because i'm an evil neurotypical who is reading subtext into your subtextless words out of pure spite#and i think sometimes when people are mad at you out of nowhere it might be because they as individuals are Going Through It#and not because of the great neurotypical conspiracy!
