Here’s my hot take of the evening: The Joker has had most of his better depictions in kid’s media because it forces the writers to be creative in how they use him and not just use chaotic edgy ultra violence as a crutch.

Counterintuitively by censoring the joker in the animated series, they made him even more terrifying. Joker gas won’t kill you, but you’ll wish you were dead!
