The problem with being in the Tolkien fandom is that Blorbo is a perfectly normal-sounding name for a hobbit
But you can’t say this without actually embodying the meme
Blorbo Proudfoot absolutely sounds like a name Tolkien would have used. We have Bungo Baggins as canon, after all.
In honor of the people talking about Bungo Baggins, here are the most blorbish names I’ve seen on the hobbit masterlist:
- Balbo Baggins, the first recorded Baggins
- Bilbo Baggins, of course
- Belba Bolger, née Baggins
- Bingo Baggins
- Bodo Baggins
- Berylla Baggins, née Boffin
- Longo Baggins
- Mungo Baggins
In conclusion, given the number of similar names, it’s quite surprising we don’t have a Blorbo. I don’t think we’ll ever be quite as good at coming up with Hobbit names as Tolkien, unless you’re the Blorbo OP.
What I’m getting from this is that not only is Blorbo a hobbit, he’s almost certainly a Baggins
