In honor of my dear friend Ewa ( @sims3hasstoppedworking ) I wanted to make a TS4 sim download that resembles her lighthearted and comical TS3 play-style in hopes of continuing to raise awareness for her situation.

For those of you who don’t know, Ewa is a fellow simmer whose mother was diagnosed with terminal Cervical Cancer, and despite her own health issues, she’s been bravely taking care of her mother full-time due to the lack of quality healthcare they were able to receive in their country. You can read more about their situation here.

However, as I was in the process of preparing this download, we found out the devastating news that Ewa’s mother passed away on July 24, 2019.

I was unsure if it would be appropriate to make this post, but I decided to still do so because Ewa’s fundraiser is currently still open, and I know that things have been incredibly difficult for her for so long - emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially. She did reach her goal while her mother was still alive, but she kept the fundraiser open due to ongoing need. You will find countless detailed updates on her blog.

Currently we are trying to make sure Ewa at least has her basic needs met and is able to do a bit of self-care while she is grieving and preparing for her mother’s funeral. And even just a message would mean a lot to her.

Ewa, aka @sims3hasstoppedworking, has graciously allowed me to recreate her sim, Xal, and I decided to make this mini comic to hopefully bring some joy, but more importantly, to help raise awareness for the fundraising Ewa is doing for her mother who is terminally ill with cervical cancer.

Ewa is an incredibly kind and supportive friend who has made being part of the Simblr community so enjoyable - and not just for me, but countless others as well.

She is taking care of her mother full-time, despite struggling with her own health issues, and they need help with the cost of medical supplies. It has been incredibly difficult to get the care and support her mother needs from the Polish healthcare system.

Ewa needs to buy things such as urine bags, cream for pressure sores, various medications, ambulance transports, etc. You can find an extensive list of recent purchases HERE. (Ewa posts general updates on her mom, medical & prescription documents, as well as receipts & photos of her purchases so that you can see exactly what you’re helping them with)

Currently, Ewa has raised over 14,000 Polish Złoty (PLN) with a goal of 20,000 PLN. The goal is 71% complete!
