Status Update: Ashita wa Docchi da! (And a minor rant)
Hi guys! Hope you're staying well and coping in this dumpster fire of a year. I'm aware we haven't had a proper release since July after releasing Chapter 30 with a promise for Volume 6 extras. I have no excuses as to why I've been unable to deliver on said promise. But here's an update:
- Volume 6 extras: Completely cleaned. Translation and Typeset remain.
- Thanks to the lovely @lennymillianti and @lolainthewaitingroom , you'll also be seeing some limited manga papers with the extras release.
- Chapter 31: I bought the magazine scans. Raws are with AmaiChudoku for cleaning.
- In good news, Ashita wa Docchi da! Volume 7 will release on December 1, 2020! Yamamoto Kotetsuko-sensei made the announcement on Twitter yesterday.
*Rant begins*
The thing is, I recently found out that a Turkish group has been using my scans without permission for their releases. They even had the audacity to edit out the Simply Boys Love watermark from every single image. This, after I mentioned in my releases that people are free to retranslate as long as they use their own raws. Obviously, it put me in a very bad mood which consequently affects my motivation to work on this manga as well as general productiveness.
However, the releases will come. I personally have no intention to drop this manga now. But I'm not deluded enough to believe that I've absolute claim over it either. If there are those out there who just want to read whatever and do things on their own steam, you're welcome to it. I don't care, I'll be right here in my corner doing things my way: putting in the money, time and effort to deliver the best possible quality which this manga rightly deserves.
