Happy Friday! Here’s what the team at Simon & Schuster Canada are reading:
Loretta Eldridge, Marketing Manager: The descriptions in LITTLE HEAVEN by Nick Cutter are visceral, gory, and wonderful. Cutter is a man with a terrifying mind.
Andrea Seto, Digital Marketing Associate: I'm reading PRECIOUS CARGO by Craig Davidson. I've only read Craig's horror fiction (written under the pseudonym Nick Cutter) prior to this, so it's refreshing to read a different genre from him. This touching and honest story about his time as a school bus driver proves Craig knows how to get an emotional reaction out his reader without having to gross them out with tapeworms.
Caitlyn Veiga, Marketing Assistant: I am loving DARKTOWN by Thomas Mullen so far. It’s centered around racial tensions in the Atlanta police force. I can’t help but notice it bears so many similarities to recent racially charged events in society. The only difference is this book is set in the 1940s.
Jacquelynne Lennard, Marketing Assistant: I just finished A COURT OF MIST AND FURY by Sarah J. Maas and this is my emotional stance on it:
Enjoy your weekend, readers!
