The Crane Estate in Ipswich, Massachusetts was purchased by Chicago industrialist Richard T. Crane, Jr. in 1910 and the house which now sits upon it, designed by David Adler, was completed in 1928. In addition, its landscaping was designed by the Olmsted Brothers, sons of famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. The estate is now owned by the Trustees of Reservations.
