Taj Mahal by Moonlight (1923) - Charles W. Bartlett
Gulab Bhavan, a palace in Srinagar, India.
The palace is a former residence of the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir from the Dogra Dynasty. It lies in the eastern part of the city and overlooks the Dal lake. It was built in 1910 by Maharaja Pratap Singh and was further decorated by his nephew and successor, Maharaja Hari Singh, who was the last ruling Maharaja of that state.
After Indian independence, Maharaja Hari Singh moved to Mumbai and the palace was converted into a hotel in 1956. In 1998, Bharat Hotels took over the hotel. They restored the palace and extended it, and in 2008 it was renamed The LaLiT Grand Palace Srinagar.
