hint: if a person with clinical depression and anxiety says theyre tired …. dont tell them they have no reason to be …. bc guess what….. They Know and Its Shitty
Louder!!!
I just want to add one thing-
If you have depression or anxiety? you’re not tired for no reason.
You’re tired because you have depression/anxiety.
Not only do they both come with low energy/fatigue as a legit common side effect, but they’re both fucking /exhausting/. fighting your brain all the time? exhausting. adrenaline crashes from anxiety/panic attacks? exhausting. being on edge all the time? exhausting. plus doing things costs /more/ energy when you have those mental illnesses.
You’re not tired for no reason, you’re tied because you have an illness that makes you tired.
Thank fucking god someone says it finally

I don’t have anxiety but some of my followers might
these are fascinating.
For people with social anxiety, every message they send feels like a “risky message,”
not just the ones with heavy emotional content. Every conversation feels like a chance to say something wrong and destroy a perfectly lovely friendship.
Silence, while avoiding that problem, is also perilous
because waiting too long before breaking the silence, increases the chance that the silence will be taken as a rejection.
social anxiety fucking sucks and everything is menacing to me

fun tip:
anxiety is not cured by forcing a person into the situation that makes them anxious
if your stomach’s sensitive because of anxiety, by all means spread out the food you eat over the course of the day instead of having large meals, just don’t…not eat. you will go into hypoglycemic shock and that will suck.
By the way, symptoms include:
- Shakiness.
- Nervousness or anxiety.
- Sweating, chills and clamminess.
- Irritability or impatience.
- Confusion, including delirium.
- Rapid/fast heartbeat.
- Lightheadedness or dizziness.
- Hunger and nausea.
(because of the nausea, eating might not feel like the thing to do at first. I’d suggest drinking a coke or something.)
I’ve dealt with sugar crashes before and I’ve collapsed and whited out. I’ve had friends do it too. If you think you’re going into hypoglycemic shock, and if there’s anyone else near by, tell them you think it’s happening, even if you’re not prone or it’s never happened before. If your’e alone, make your way slowly to the kitchen/wherever you have food/drinks. The standard rule is to take in 15 oz of a sugary drink (orange juice and soda–not diet–are the best) and wait 15 minutes to see if it’s over, then keep doing that until your sugar is stabilized. Then you can eat. If you think you’re about to collapse, especially if you start to feel dizzy, sit down and lay down or lean against something. Don’t risk injury, it’s better to pass out while you’re laying down than it is to collapse and hurt yourself.

If you are having trouble eating please keep in mind the BRATY diet. Bananas, Rice, Apple sauce, Toast, and (sometimes) Yogurt. These foods have been shown to be harder to throw up. By no means should this be the primary diet, but this can assist in the between times when it’s harder to keep things down.
this was really helpful
Anxiety attacks aren’t always hyperventilating and rocking back and forth
Anxiety attacks can take different forms, such as:
- Unpredictable bouts of rage or irritability
- Nit-pickiness (obsessive behavior, which may be a part of OCD), and even a hypersensitivity to disarray, chaos, or any sort of change
- Fast-talking, stuttering, stumbling over words
- Not talking at all
- Sitting rigid, staring into space, almost seeming “zoned out”
Understanding the way our or other’s anxiety works can help to decrease the stigma and help to calm a person faster and get them out of that state. These are just a few, but it gives an idea of the range in which attacks can come.
blegh reblogging cause people need to know
i see these things a lot and they’re ALWAYS purely social anxiety. Not all anxiety disorders are like this.
More Tips for Dating Someone With Anxiety.
•Reassure them constantly. (This may be annoying but they will be thankful.)
•Keep them in the loop of your life. (This means share plans with them. It will keep them at ease.)
•Text them when you are on our way, or when you get home. (This may seem obnoxious but their brain will thank you.)
•Hugs. (After anxious days something as little as a hug can make things better.)
•Triggers. Identify them. (This one will be hard. Once you figure out what makes them anxious it will help you to make them feel safe.)
•No surprises unless you know it will make them happy. (Surprises can be hard to handle for anxious people. It will depend on their anxiety level.)
•Change is hard. (Try to limit major changes in your relationship if possible. Things will change but be ready to help your partner through it.)
•Be there. Just be there. (As complex as an anxiety disorder can get the best thing you can do is be there and let them know you care.)

Everyone who suffers from social anxiety needs a friend who will
- help them order food when it’s too scary
- walk with them through crowded places
- help them laugh it off when they make a mistake
- not get tired of answering “no, you’re not annoying, silly goose! You’re adorable and I love you” no matter how many times it’s needed
and if you’re that friend, bless u for being fab <3
this is too accurate
For those who don't understand social anxiety:
-It is not cute
-It is hell
-Want to order pizza? Too fucking bad
-Want to go to a party? Be prepared to want to leave after 5 seconds
-Need to ask a salesperson for a different size? Guess you’re not getting it
-Hungry but it’s crowded in the restaurant? No food for you
-Social anxiety SUCKS
-It keeps you from doing things you want to do
-It makes you feel like shit
-Stop romanticizing it
-Social anxiety is absolute HELL
I don’t think people realize how much strength it takes to pull your own self out of an anxiety attack or a panic attack. So if you’ve done that today or any day, I’m proud of you.
Anxiety is wanting to ask your partner a million questions as to why they’re with you, why they say they care about you, and so on.
Depression is not thinking you’re worth enough to even ask those questions, let alone be with them.
and having both of them is the definition of hell
Literally this though
What causes your anxiety ?
being alive
