I’m Silverskye13, feel free to call me any variation of Silver/Sky/13 at your convenience.

It / they pronouns, it/its preference, though if that makes you squirmy, feel free to use they/them.

General Info:

I’m an artist who sometimes moonlights as a writer. This is mostly a personal blog? I tend to float between the fandoms I enjoy ambiently, and occasionally throw in personal art to spice it up. Hermitcraft has been the big one recently, though I’ve been really deep into Undertale and Hollow Knight in the past. Additional places you can find me are:

AO3 at Silverskye13. All my chaptered fics go here, as well as a few of my one-shots. All the Hermitcraft one-shots haven’t been moved over there yet. They probably will be at some point, and I’ll update this when they are.

Redstone and Skulk is my current active fic, though I'm picking away slowly at several. This fic also has its own little set of playlists if you wanna listen along to the character vibes!

@beforeiwakecomic​ is my webcomic! It is on haitus since I’ve had a lot of intense life events come up this year, but the prologue is complete and posted.

@spazzcatreblogs is my reblog blog, where I queue most things I think are neat instead of tossing them on my main account.

I am!! Hoping to have it out before Thanksgiving we will see. Technically the first draft is done now, but the dialogue is a bit clunky so I'm gonna sit with it for a bit

Gotta love tone setting chapters.

Promise I will take my time and take care of myself! I'm certainly in a much better headspace than I was a month ago.

This is how it goes: God whispers in Cain’s jealous ear, drawing his attention to the Sin crouched at his doorway. Sin has haunted eyes and a mouth that has been kissed. Let there be no doubt that Sin has been kissed, with a wet-red mouth that may taste of blood or pomegranate or the electric crackle of a stoplight. Cain looks at Sin. He runs his tongue over his teeth.

This is how it goes: Cain leaves the house at one am in bare feet and a hoodie, careful to avoid the last stair that creaks, and treks out into the Field. There are many fields in the world but there is only one Field. Cain feels the difference in the grass when he crosses the border from field to Field, the way the grey-green blades stand up at attention in his wake, the way the dirt turns ice-cold and furious beneath his heels. The earth is good with foreshadowing. The tree of Knowledge has deep roots.

This is how it goes: God says, I will take you or your brother.

God says, You get to choose.

And Cain says, “When you split me and my brother in the womb, you did not divide us evenly. He got kindness, and I got longing. He got complacence, and I got ambition. I want to kill him sometimes. I think sometimes he wants to die.”

I have never made brothers before, God explains. That is how I thought they were made. What more do you want?

“I want to steal some of his kindness,” Cain says, and shakes his pocket knife out of his sleeve.

Back at home, Abel sits up in his bed with a start, heart racing. That was close, he thinks, that was a damn close one, and does not know why.

In the Field, the ground warms as blood seeps into the dirt.

one of the worst things about being a writer is when you have to sit on your hands about a REALLY COOL SPOILER. and you just want everyone to know about the really cool spoiler you want them to know so so so badly but the best way for them to learn it would be to experience it and you also want them to do THAT so you’re just sitting on your hands vibrating and making a low whine while your dog looks at you with concern. and then your friends go “what’s wrong”. and you go PLEASE I NEED TO TELL YOU. and they go “oh okay so tell me”. and you go NO,

In light of my finally working on RnS chapters again [and slowly picking away at the art I haven't reblogged yet], I would like to apologize in advance! Not everything is going to make it into the notes of the next chapter. I want to make sure it's all at the top of the chapter so it gets its showcase space, and there's only so many characters allowed there.

I promise yours will get on there eventually, as the next chapters come out. And I will be reblogging them all, as I have the spoons to get to them.

hello! What are your rules exactly for writing prompts? Can I ask for prompts containing your specific story and it's characters? Like, in this case I want to do a prompt asking for the reactions of Tango and Welsknight to learning just how little time their hel counterparts actually have. I'm glad you're liking RnS! It's my pride and joy [even if I'm struggling with it a bit at the moment].

I have no stipulations on what people can request as far as writing prompts and asks [though, given yours is a part of a larger question, I would recommend sending it again with just the prompt, so if I answer, I can answer the ask direction with the snippet!] I pick and choose which ones I work on when I have the inspiration for it, so there are many I haven't gotten around to. But I try my best to get a lot of them written! If they're too spoilery or will get handled in the main fic at some point, I will generally speaking, tell you instead of answering the ask.

[this one will get tackled in the main fic, but from the main characters' POV, so I think doing it from either Wels or Tango's POV would be interesting.]

But yeah! Don't be shy. I love prompts. I just sometimes can't get to them is all.

[Edit] Wait! One stipulation. I cannot write suicidal ideation and self harm. That is not what you asked for in your ask, but I don't think I've stated it in awhile so, for future reference for anyone else who would submit a prompt: my hard no boundary line is suicidal ideation/self harm. I cover it when it's relevant for characters, but I can't take prompts for it.
