why do youtubers feel so comfortable cutting clips from other people's videos?? without asking and without crediting or linking the original videos and now a watermark with their channel name is lingering over a clip that I recorded and uploaded I find it especially rude when somebody has 68 thousand subscribers and they take a clip from a person who has 300 subscribers... and the viewers on these big channels think that the uploader recorded everything themselves because they even watermark it with their own channel name if you want to make a video that shows multiple scenes from a video game, record those scenes yourself, don't just download another person's vid and cut the part you want into your video... I also had to record it or you know... maybe ask permission and credit the original uploader and link their video or their channel
#I am so fucking tempted to comment on the video telling them they should have asked for permission#but I know they would probably just brush it off or delete my comment entirely#or their audience would attack me because it's just a short clip they included#the watermark is truly the cherry on top. wants to protect their own vid that is cut together from other people's vids#(I assume... because if they took my clip they probably took others as well)#but they think it's fine to take another person's clip if that uploader is a small channel and doesn't have a watermark?#bg3#bg3 mine#youtube#video#annoying#my post#my posts#baldur's gate 3#text post#textposts#this isn't the first time it happened either#but at least the other person bothered to name the channels he took the clip from.not that it makes it much better when he should have aske#and it's not like anyone is going to look up the channel when the original video is not linked instead it's just a short name on screen#but now I almost appreciate that person... at least he didn't try to pretend to his audience that he recorded all of the scenes himself
