THE BROTHERS. THE HUG. THE WAY THEY'RE CLINGING TO EACH OTHER. OH MY FREAKING GOD, BOMA. YOU COMPLETELY OUTDID YOURSELF WITH THIS ONE.

I really couldn't be more HONORED and GRATEFUL that you loved this scene so much that you wanted not only to draw it like you did in your dump, but turn it into a wallpaper. AND WHAT A WALLPAPER, MY FRIEND. I absolutely ADORE the coloring, the way you recreated the moon, the details in the church, the lighting!!! The way you reflected Mario's jumping as he throws himself into Luigi's arms, and their hats falling off because of the momentum, and the red and green balloons mingling as a way of symbolising their embrace.

Not to mention Luigi's expression and, oh God, the way they're hugging. THE WAY THEY'RE HUGGING MAKES ME WEAK 😭😭😭😭😭 I can practically TOUCH the brotherly love between them and the longing to be together and never be apart again. They love each other SO MUCH 🥹😭❤️💚

I also love the way they stand out in the middle of the blackness of space and the white of the moon. Their brotherly love is the main focus of the piece and I swear my heart is going to EXPLODE at such magnificence and perfection.

🍓 - I got into writing fanfiction when I was 13 thanks to three different media. The first one was a book called "El valle de los lobos" ("The valley of the wolves"), by Spain's most famous young adult fantasy author, Laura Gallego. The second, oddly enough, was the show "Lost" (which continues to be my favorite TV show to this day). And the third one was none other than Superstar Saga! 😁

Those three things, combined together, made me write what would eventually be my very first long fanfic, which, luckily, does not exist anymore 😅 Later on, I decided to try and write three different fics, one for each media, and that worked a bit better. The one I remember the most was the one based on Superstar Saga, since that was when the Mario Brothers started to resonate with me. Deep down, I was already feeling the brotherly love between them, so much that it inspired me, and it was thanks to this absolute gem of a game 🥹❤️💚

I've written more fanfics in other periods of my life (2013, when Dream Team came out), and most of it revolves around the Super Mario franchise because of how important it's always been to me. And it's Superstar Saga that I have to thank for igniting the flame for my very first fanfic with these brothers as main characters. Just one more reason to love it with all my heart 🥹 (not that it was necessary though 🤭)

🍄 - Oh, so a headcanon I've never shared, huh? 🤔 Well, there are a few that come to my mind, but I'm gonna keep one of them for my Luigi headcanon post 🤭 So I'll share one about Luaisy! 💚🧡

Luigi is a bookworm. That's something that many people headcanon and I firmly believe it too. He's an avid reader and lives intensely every book he reads. Daisy, on the other hand, prefers more lively activities, such as sports, kart racing or a good video game competition (usually with Mario, since they're both VERY competitive).

However, when she sees Luigi so engrossed in reading, Daisy begins to show some interest on it too. She asks him for book recommendations and reads them so she can discuss them with him, and also because she loves to see his moved and giddy little face when he finds out that she's read a book because of him and, thus, they can fangirl together. She finds him even cuter than usual!

Still, she always prefers to see him reading, totally engaged in the book and reacting to what's happening in the story without even noticing. Daisy loves watching him make faces, and also sneaking up on him and trying to read over his shoulder without him noticing.

But of course Luigi notices (she's not exactly the queen of stealth), so what he does is start reading aloud. Daisy listens to him attentively, but is unable to sit still at all. Whenever in the book there's a kiss or a gesture of affection between the characters, she imitates it immediately: she holds Luigi's face gently to slowly and sweetly kiss him, or intertwines her fingers with his, or caresses his cheek, or hugs him from behind, leaning over the back of the rocking chair (where he usually reads), so that he can continue reading.

Of course, Luigi has a hard time remembering what he was reading after such displays of affection. He shakes like jelly, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy sharing his passion for reading with his beloved flower princess 😌💚🧡

And @pepperycar! GAWD the amount of details you included in your drawing 😭😭😭😭😭 I can't get over it, I swear 🥹🥹🥹 The background, Mario's torn sleeve, the portrait, their hats together serving as a pillow for Luigi, the glow on his chest representing not only that he's starting to heal, but also his love and trust for his brother, I just 😭😭😭😭😭 Also, you captured perfectly well the worry on Mario's expression as he's about to heal his brother and Luigi's happiness and relief just by knowing he's with Mario again 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 And your style is so soft and beautiful!!!
