Hey everyone! Follow my new art insta if your intrested in seeing art inspired by Puerto Rican culture. Currently working on combining Puerto Rican Folk art, Vejigante Masks, with pop culture references. Please share and follow if your interested! I want to make art inspired by my culture, folk art, illustrations, comic art, and creating the kind of content from my culture I wish existed in stories.
If they can do Navidad and Dia de los Muertos, both holidays that have a religious base, they can put Dia de los Reyes Magos in Elena of avalor too. It would be cool to see how they adapt it.

Coco cosplay update!
An Update on the Coco cosplay: The most important piece, the guitar! Sorry for any guitar people If your cringing at the sight of a painted guitar (I did my best at researching, its more for show anyways). I found this cheep and banged up at goodwill, sanded it, removed the pick guard, and gave it a coat of white lacquer spray paint. Also, I bought holographic sticker paper and tape to make the designs and details of the guitar with!

Disney’s Red hoodie Mexican/Latino club: Marco, Mateo, and Miguel. All “M”. Hmmm🤔, lmao. Que casualidad, no?
lmao, almost half an hour of an animated short of Frozen before Coco, they could've just given us an episode of Elena of Avalor instead!
(even though she's not technically Pixar)
you are just un poco loco!
So I know the Great grandmother's name is coco (she's called Mama Coco) therefore the reason for the title. Is it possible the title could also mean for El Coco/Cuco the boogyman?
I'm pretty sure El Coco/Cuco has nothing to do with Dia De Los Muertos, but I was just thinking since its about a living child in the land of the dead, and they havn't revealed any kind of antagonist yet.
Also, I know coco also means coconut too. I'm Puerto Rican and I know there and most other Latin Ameircan countries refer the boogyman as El Cuco, but in Spain and Mexico they call him El Coco, from what I read.
I'd like other Latinx, specifically Mexican fans to weigh in. I could just be compleatly way off and its as simple as it just refering to the great grandma since she's significant in the story (also is Coco a common nickname for Abuelitas in Mexico?)
Sharing new photos of my Mateo Cosplay from Disney's Elena of Avalor for #hispanicheritagecosplay2017 for #Ardawigs. wearing a Classic Hansel in dark brown. There was no need for cutting. The unaltered wig iself was perfect for styling into Mateo's hair. Hispanic heritage month has always been a time for me to share my Peoples' culture and History with Friends. This year I began by dedicating it to bringing more visibility to Latino and Hispanic cosplayers, unfortunatly disaster had struck my beautiful Island Puerto Rico and our families that live there. I'd a like to take this opportunity to bring awareness this #hispanicheritagemonth to the disasters that Have befallen our people in Mexico and the Caribbean. I join with mis hermanos latinx in the tags #hispaniccosplayunidos #latinxcosplayunidos I am Puerto Rican/ Yo Soy Boricua! And I am very proud! I do not live on the Island but I have family that does. I visit every year to spend time with my family and my island and her people. last year was my first real Navidad Borinqueño on the Island con mi familia. It was a beautiful expirience. and the Coquito was amazing 😂. This year I was going to go again. I know things will be different now because of hurricane Maria. My heart is broken for my people and my Island. She, our mother, was so beautiful and green, and her children full of Song and Pride. we are still full of Pride but the song has become a gritas por ayuda. I urge you, if you can, to donate for Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands/the Caribbean and Mexico, let this be your way in celebrating Hispanic Heritage month with us, and i greatly encourage my fellow Hispanic/Latinx cosplayers to join in spreading awareness and donating too, porque somos todos hermanos. you can give to the funds mentioned in the last image of this set, to the #Hispanicfederation, and or #somosonevoice or #somosunavoz. even the smallest amount given adds up to the whole. Gracias❤. #puertorico #disneycosplay #mateodealma #elenaofavalorcosplay #elenaofavalor #elenadeavalor #disney #wizard #latinx #hispaniccosplayer #hispaniccosplay #latinxcosplay #boricua #mateo #cosplay
