We’re coming up on Year 2 of Covid-friendly road trips, and I must say, I’m really enjoying exploring the parts of my country that are within driving distance (which, really, can be almost all of it if you’re patient enough). Even with the limitations of the virus, we’ve been to 17 states since early 2020 (mostly in the Midwest and South, but also a few out west). One of my favorite things about the USA is how big and incredibly diverse it is--we have almost every type of climate and natural landscape within our borders, and that doesn’t even include all the cultural richness of both urban and rural areas alike! I’m also thankful for a reliable road trip car, and also for the most amazing companions to explore with! <3

Where were you when the towers fell? I was 14 years old and just started high school. I was nowhere near New York, and so many people have suffered so much trauma than I did, but I’ll never forget the horror, fear, and sadness I felt that day. God Bless America!

They wouldn’t call these the Badlands if they weren’t a little bit spooky...

European adventures are not in the card for us Americans this year, but there are places here that are the next best thing! I think San Diego is the perfect body double for Spain! :-)
