Patton smiled as he carried the terarium with him. He was going off to collage, finally. The bubby pastel boy was excited to finally be seen as something other than just the innocent one or the dumb one. Patton was planning on getting his degree in teaching High school. He wants to make a difference in the lives of struggling teens. 

The bus dropped him off at his destination and he checked in, all the while, he clucthed his frog close to him, as he did so the memory of how he came into poession of the frog reserfaced. 

Patton was nine years old, his old pet frog hopper had just died. He was crying about it and his friends were getting worried about him. Remus, one of two twins he had befriended. Remus cared about thing in his own way and showed love in ways most people deemed grotesque or “special” as most people called it, but Patton loved the boy’s quirks, much to his parents dismay. Remus had noticed his friend’s distress and dug up the corpse of the dead frog. He had taken it to the shed by his house and began doing some work. After a few days of work he had reanimated Hopper. 

Remus rang the doorbell to Patton’s house, and the normally bubbly child answers, wiping tears with his too big sweater sleeves. Upon seeing him Remus showed his crooked tooth smile and said “Surprise!” holding up the reanimated frog. Patton looked confused until he saw the little freckle on the frog’s left eye. It was Hopper, but… how? 

“I made him into a zombie frog, now he’ll never die!” Remus declared. At that moment Patton hugged his friend and refused to let go for a good five minuets.

Patton Hearts wiped a tear from his eyes as he held Hopper close to his chest. A few years after that Remus and his twin brother Roman moved away, and they never spoke again. Patton had always wondered what happened to Remus but never got any answers. So he just decied to let it go. 

As Patton got to his dorm and began unpacking, a knock could be heard from outside, “Come in” Patton smiled. His roommate entered the room and smiled. The two made eye contact, and it was his roommate who spoke first. 

“Patton-cake?”  “Re-Re?” The two instantly embraced each other in a hug. They be spending the next four years together, and it would be wonderful.

💕💕💕💕 Oh my goodness this is lovely OP!!! You went and made an AU inside another AU and I’m loving every second of it!!! This gave such whimsical vibes and feelings similar to the ones I felt with Coraline and Frankenweenie!!!  💕💕💕💕  Just yes!!! I also love the name Hooper for the frog! My heart is full and my crops have been watered from the amount of love and fluff in this. Thank you!!!!
