That night was the first time I met Kurt Cobain. Before the show, I went back to Kurt’s dressing room to say hello, and he was back there with Courtney. He looked torn up, like he had just come off a hard bender. He was wearing a ripped dress, and his skin was bad, and he looked like he hadn’t slept for a few days, but he was just so beautiful in a different way. I was blown away by his presence and his aura.

I was the only child present for all this insanity. For the most part, the adults who didn’t know me just ignored me. But Keith Moon, the legendary drummer for the Who, always tried to make me feel at ease. In the midst of this chaotic, riotous, party-life atmosphere where everyone was screaming and shouting and sniffing and snorting and drinking and humping, Moon would take the time to be still and take me under his arm and say, “How you doing, kid? Are you having a good time? Shouldn’t you be in school or something? Well, I’m glad you’re here, anyway.” That always stuck with me.

"My parents were not present and I didn’t think it was because they worked hard. I don’t think they did. And in the other hand,  I have this girls that I love so much.  And I wanted to be there for them. At all times,  be there. When she was a little girl (clara)  I stop doing everything, no drugs, stop drinking, stop smoking weed..  It was like “I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU". And if I’m on the other side of the world; on a tour, when I talk on the phone with her “I’LL BE THERE YOU KNOW?" And that is… That is what parents are supposed to do. So I guess that is what makes me sad because I feel like my parents… It’s a little sad for me because they never understood that…. ….  Parents always tell you “OH I BROUGHT YOU TO THE WORLD I GAVE YOU LIFE"  and for me it’s the opposite,  because my daughters gave me life, they gave me reasons to live" -  Flea.

Forever reblog.

This never fails to make me cry.
