I’ve got squid game ocs too.
Meet Kamairi, Temomi, Muga, Sock and Masu! A family of inklings, salmonids and an octoling.
Kamairi is the matriarch. An experienced turf war queen, she designed her old weapon back when turf wars were starting out as a sport. A mixture of an inkbrush and charger, the Inkquill is perfect for distance and up close encounters. After she had her daughter, she decided to rent out her weapon collection to less fortunate inklings and octolings so they could start their careers in turf wars. She lives by her own words of “you could have the most basic weapon and gear but still be a champion.”
Temomi is Kamairi’s daughter and a true menace on the battlefield. She’s quick, merciless and very nimble. But just because she has gymnastics under her belt, doesn’t mean she doesn’t get splatted! She mains dualie weapons and the occasional inkbrush. She’s very passionate about her career and aspires to be like her mom in rank. She has been offered an agent position in the New Squidbeak Splatoon, but never followed through. As mom said, “if any strange people in sewer grates ask you for help, just say no!”
Sock and Masu are two salmonids, Sock being a small fry and Masu being a juvenile maws. They were brought into the family after different salmon run shifts on Temomi’s part. They love Kamairi’s cooking and company and have high respect for her keeping their weapons in pristine condition. Masu is the unofficial bodyguard of the family, thanks to her size and strength. Sock causes lots of trouble, but that’s okay, it wouldn’t be a family without him!
Muga is an escaped sanitized octoling from Kamabo co. When Agent 8 destroyed Kamabo co., she barely managed to escape into Inkopolis. Her left arm never regenerated properly from one of the tests, leaving her with one arm. Because of this, she has a shaky shot and can only wield certain weapons. When she escaped into Inkopolis, she was homeless and barely scraping by. One fateful day, during a turf war, she was on Temomi’s team. After they lost, the other inklings blamed her, but Temomi stood up for the octoling. They went to get a bite to eat and Temomi brought her home. After a while of getting acquainted with Inkopolis culture, Muga’s sanitization began to wear off, and now she’s about 40% sanitized. She’ll remember bits and pieces of her life before Kamabo, but she’s making new friends and memories with her new family.
