Hi everyone,
February 1, 2015 was a devistating day for the entire Rooster Teeth community. On that day, the beloved Monty Oum died after suffering an allergic reaction caused by a routine medical procedure.
Monty was a self-taught animator and the creator of the internationally successful RWBY. He was truly a creative juggernaut who never aspired for anything less than perfection.
This ambition is not exclusive to Monty. Everybody has it- even if they don’t know it. You have it- even if you don’t know it. That’s where the Monty Oum Project comes in.
On February 4th, you are encouraged to do something creative. Start that YouTube series you always thought about. Start that fan blog you kept putting off (trust me, it’s worth it), record that song you were nervous to record. It doesn’t matter what it is- as long as it’s creative, we want you to pursue it. I know that we’ve got the most creative damn community around, even if we don’t realize it.
