when i met you
nanami doesn’t know when it started.
he doesn’t know when he started to become such a sap. the man who was so uptight in front of others suddenly turns into jelly in-front of his one and only. it almost feels like he’s a whole new person. because only with you: he can feel his bones tingle as he watches you mindlessly hum, swaying to the sound of the music.
he never knew such a mundane action could cause butterflies to erupt in his stomach. he never knew he could smile this widely just by watching you do something so normal.
“oh, hey there hub,” unexpectedly you turn around, spotting your husband’s face in the middle of the room. “g’morning. i already made you coffee, it’s on the machine.” you smile at him before turning your back once again to finish your dish.
nanami simply hums an answer, content filling his body as he moves to the machine to grab his coffee that’s made for him and him only. and to top that, it’s the exact temperature he wants it, the perfect way he likes that he’s sure only you know how to make.
“you’re up early today. isn’t today your day off?” you ask him. your husband hums another response as he sips his coffee, hand on the mug handle as he makes his way towards you. “so why’re you up early then?”
“the bed was cold. you were missing.” though it may seem cheesy, he is just saying the truth. and you can’t help but giggle at the sweetness yet corniness his answer. “i got up and searched for you. i figured you’d be down here.” he finishes off.
“i was gonna make you breakfast in bed, but you’re already awake.” you tell him honestly. he smiles once again, settling his coffee mug on the free space on the counter and moving his body behind yours.
his figure ghosts over yours as his hands snake to your waist, his head on your shoulder as he closes his eyes in comfort. you sigh contentedly, moving your free hand and setting it on his hair, carding your fingers through his soft hair. he groans at the contact, his eyes falling to yours as he presses his lips on your neck. you chuckle at him, allowing him to do as he pleases.
nanami never knew he could even love like this. so madly in love to the point where he feels like he’s gone beyond existing, so madly in love where it feels like it’s lit up his whole world, so madly in love to the point where he knows this is for eternity.
“love,” he softly calls your name. you hum your answer, moving closer to your husband. “i love you so much.” he whispers into your ears so softly.
you smile, turning your head to press a kiss on his forehead. “i love you more kento.”
he relishes in this moment. he never known someone could change his whole entire demeanour with a mere look, he never knew someone could deter his perspective in a good way, he never knew someone could make him feel like this. god, he’s so sure of this, he will cherish you today, tomorrow and forever more.
nanami would have never known that he could be this kind of person until he met you. it all starts with you. it all began when he met you, and he would never change it for the world.
