My reaction every time I wake up and read the latest world news headlines.
The virus presented the enormous challenge for millions of people and every challenge is an opportunity for waking up.

Dear people of Tumblr,
While the novel coronavirus that causes the respiratory infection covid-19 continues to spread, the world is a stressful place right now and we really need to find a way to help each other.
The novel coronavirus has a long list of terrifying characteristics and under these circumstances it’s understandable that the growing panic over coronavirus is real, fear is a rational response. But fear is also increasing prejudice, discrimination, xenophobia, racism and violence, spurring people to engage in panic buying, hoarding supplies, stealing hand sanitizer and face masks, leaving nothing to buy for everyone else and flaunting how much they don’t care about social distancing.
It is important to stay connected during these stressful times of social distancing. In times of stress and illness, being deprived of social connection can create more stress and illness.
How have you been affected by the coronavirus? Please share your experiences during the outbreak so we can listen, help and take care of one another through these tough times.
Also, please don’t forget to be nice to each other. We are in this together and we will overcome it together.

It does feel exactly like that, a sci-fi apocalyptic movie. But mostly and sadly because we are making life more difficult than it needs to be. This whole thing with panic-buying toilet paper?? I really don’t get it. (How much ya’ll s**t??? 😳)
I just watched the video of exhausted nurse who works for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) urging people in tears to stop panic buying after she was unable to find basic items in a supermarket following a 48-hour shift. 😕 People stop panic buying and hoarding food more than you need. Pilling up in stores doesn’t help to contain the virus.
@velvet-flame I am so sorry you have a cold. If it’s possible isolate yourself to a separate room with no or minimal contact with your mother. You can pick up food trays left at the door and sanitize a shared bathroom after using it. If you have masks at home, both you and mom should wear them when in contact with each other. I hope you will get better soon and your mom stay safe and healthy. 💜🍀
Thank you so much for your support and advice. The cold is just about gone but I have very minimal contact with mum. Atm we can’t find any masks so I’ve been covering up with my scarf and/or nightgown
So glad to hear that! If you have cotton or flannel at home here is a video how to make masks to protect against droplet transmission from coughs and sneezes:

I live in Greece and we have entered lockdown since yesterday morning.Unfortunately the epicenter of the virus is now our neighboring country of Italy and we do not have enough medical supplies to equip neither hospitals or ourselves. My mother passed away four months ago from lung failure and the trauma is still very fresh.l have panic attacks almost on a daily basis feeling as if I’m suffocating .Trips to the market and pharmacy are terrifying atm. There is too many conflicting facts and it feels like there’s no reliable sources of information.
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother just a few months before this madness started. You can find in my earlier reblogs of this post tips that can help you manage your fears and protect your health. Try to find a balance between being informed enough to make decisions about your life, but not so overloaded with information that it becomes stressful, especially when it feels like there’s no reliable sources of information. If you find yourself growing more anxious reading them, put down your phone or step away from your computer. Do things you enjoy, tap into other ways you like to relax.
This is a difficult time for all. No one has been spared from the effects of the coronavirus. I feel that the world is changing. There are so many things this pandemic is teaching us about the way we live. Despite the trauma all around us, let us embrace this moment as an opportunity to move forward to create a better world for all.
I pray from my heart that each one will grow inwardly.
That we come to a higher level of life in the true sense.
That we see with more a unitive sense that we are one family,
living together with greater love and understanding.

@themanwhodidnothing You are doing exactly the right thing, STAY HOME. And I thank you for that. Reduce your risk of being exposed to the virus and protect yourself (and others) as much as you can. You can find in my earlier reblogs of this post tips how to reduce your fear and anxiety, which is so crucial to keep your immune system healthy. People like you, mindful and accountable will help overcome this vicious pandemic. 💜🍀
It makes me sad this photo of Dante Alighieri looking alone at deserted square in Florence during quarantine. It's a new circle of hell
Once full streets in Italy and around the world are now completely stranded. I am devastated. Sending everyone oceans of love, we shall overcome this only with love and care for others and self.
Stay home and healthy people. This too shall pass. 💜💜💜

The coronavirus outbreak is already changing the world. Permanently. We can all feel it. Sadly, fear is spreading even faster than the virus. As it continues to march through society, it is raising so much ugliness in us.
People, be good to each other. It is our duty to take care of ourselves and take care of each other. We are all in this together. 💜🌎🙏🏻 Excersise Unity. We come 1. We are all 1.
