With a lion-like appearance and fierce expression, it guards against evil and brings a sense of procession. A guardian spirit perched atop homes and gates, it wards off negativity and safeguards life's fates. Shisa represents strength, bravery, and divine might, guiding and watching over regardless of the passage of time.

In one of a curving side-streets in Vienna, Griechenbeisl, Vienna's oldest and quite charming tavern is over 500 years old and is rather proud of its guest list:  Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Wagner, Strauss, Brahms, Mark Twain, Pavarotti, Johnny Cash, Zeppelin, Bismarck.
