Exactly 25 years ago, the original Crash Team Racing (or CTR: Crash Team Racing) was released in North America exclusively on the original PlayStation console, as it is the fourth and last game in the Crash Bandicoot series to be developed by Naughty Dog (before they develop Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for the PlayStation 2 for a 2001 release).

- Over 10 playable characters to choose from (characters such as Crash, Coco, Polar, Pura, Dr. Neo Cortex, N. Gin, Tiny, Dingodile, and many more)
- 5 Game Modes: Adventure (1 player mode), Time Trial (1 player mode), Arcade (2-4 player mode), Versus (2-4 player mode), and Battle (2-4 player mode)
- up to 4 players can race for the checkered flag or battle it out (a PlayStation Multi-Tap is required for up to 4 players)
- a handful of items to utilize such as N. Brio's beakers, TNT and Nitro crates, missles, etc.
