YES 👀 Tho it takes a very long time lmao especially because it takes Olivia ages to realize that she likes him, and when she actually gets around to confessing he gently rejects her and she’s just like “??? I’m sure he has feelings for me why” and Ginni goes “Because he’s a dumbass!!!”

Hiro’s under the impression that he’s caused Olivia way too much trouble and he also has huge self esteem issues so he thinks he isn’t good enough for her :’( I’m thinking that at one point he and Kaz leave on their own little journeys of self discovery, a trip out into the world they still have no idea about to try and figure out how to truly live. During this time they’re all separated (except Liv and Ginni bc they stay at the guild together), so naturally Olivia and Hiro drift even further apart, especially since he doesn’t send letters or anything so they have no idea where he is or what he’s doing

Of course they eventually reunite after a while—maybe a few months, maybe a year later...and during this time both Hiro and Kaz have grown a LOT and have also trained a lot and honed their skills. Hiro’s much better at using his secondary elemental power, and Kaz has better control over his unstable dragon power, so the girls are like :0 And they’ve both matured a lot and Olivia’s like shit we’ve been apart for so long but my feelings haven’t gone away!! They’ve gotten stronger!! Especially since Hiro just seems Softer in general because now he’s been around people and society long enough to adapt and truly be himself. And she’s like oh. Oh no. I want to be with him even more now. And on the other hand Hiro’s freaking out going oh my god Olivia is still beautiful and perfect and why did I reject her back then I’m so stupid!! Clearly she must have moved on by now! Dammit!!

It’s a hot mess slow burn but they get there eventually. I promise. I swear
